Because that isn't the purpose of the forum. Bluelight is not a forum created for the purpose of helping others procure substances, instead, as stated on the site, "Bluelight is an international, online, harm-reduction community committed to reducing the harms associated with drug use. "

So we're going to promote 50% of harm reduction, but we're not gonna do the other 50% (which, I would argue, may be the more important 50% of harm reduction) because... Reasons? But yeah, Breaking Bad forums seem good, but they look pretty new... Hm. Not sure whether to add them.

I suppose that drug procurement portion of harm reduction is important, but allowing that type of discussion on the clear net and on a popular form comes with it's own host of problems.

Oooohhh, very interesting site. I'm a bit of a sucker for 80s/90s/vaporwave, and sexy girls. One or two of the rules are a little silly, but I like it. It may be a qualifier for SG. Maybe also T&T, though that is more questionable. The general level of site activity may also be in question as well.

Whoops, forgot about this site. Yeah, it would have been a pretty good site to add, but I see they have an invite-only system. While I totally get that bots are a big problem, and probably especially with a site dedicated to sexy times, it still massively hampers new blood coming in. And also, I'm sorry, but fuck Reddit, man. There has to be a better way for them to bring on new people.

actualized.org has been pulled from the list of potentials due to a self-admitted very harsh set of rules. It almost sounds like they don't even fully believe they'll be completely objective in their judgements and know they're being very vague. As such, their assurances to "high-quality content" are not reassuring. It gets even more hypocritical when you see how they won't accept discussions on "conspiracy theories" but there's an entire sub-forum dedicated partly to mysticism and the paranormal. I like the straight up honesty on their rules pages about their objectives, but c'mon, guys. You can be better than this. Clean up the mess that is your rules and I'll have another look at you.

No drugs, no insults, no political discussions, no "conspiracy theories", no swearing, no sarcasm, no "harassment", no trolling, no mature topics, no arguments, no mentoring, and no fun allowed.

forum.becomealivinggod.com has been pulled from the list of potentials for being just a little too niche and the rules being a little too restrictive.

wizardforums.com will be added, but its rules are a little iffy. Its activity is also in question, but perusing around the forums, I saw just enough different members for it to qualify.

Who cares? If someone claims to be an "expert" and they're spouting obvious dumb shit, they're gonna get laughed at and called out and their reputation within the community goes down. If someone tries to use an appeal to authority on a real free speech website, then it's gonna be questioned, and perhaps later, bashed. Ironically, you shouldn't foster an environment where the users will think the staff is going to come in to save them from any attempts at misinformation, intentional or otherwise. You foster a spirit of intellectual independence as much as possible. You want your users to dig. To reach into the unknown and break bad mental habits. Question everything. Especially yourself.

I got curious about this forum again and decided to see how they were doing, and I got slapped with a big ol' 403 Forbidden error if I click on just about anything on the site. Well, looks like we're not the only one that had a configuration oopsie. Let's just hope though that it's not a sign of it getting shut down eventually.

The Linus Tech Tips forums has been deleted entirely from the forum listings because after the latest WAN show where he started spouting off some more about how great shadowbanning and censorship was (he even tells people they need to "calm down" while shadowbanning someone who was very probably joking)... Just... Fuck this attitude. I'm done. This is ridiculous. There are lines you don't cross, and you're crossing them, Linus, and going full corporate.
