  • @ Drathnoxis:
lol. Implying that there's any science in Star Trek.
  • @ Drathnoxis:
Remember when Barclay De-evolved into a spider which was SOMEHOW a part of his evolutionary DNA?
  • @ Gauche:
Please don't be an arachnidist - it literally be who he is - don't deny the DNA or science
  • @ Arnox:
I think what Vendor is saying is he likes the sci-fi flavor more than the actual explanation.
  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
With fiction there's suspension of disbelief. You can either judge it through entirely real-world logic, or through the logic in-world, as it is presented. What I'm saying is that I prefer any explanation, based on either, rather than no explanation. Well, a bad explanation is almost as bad as no explanation though. The techno-babble in Star Trek can make sense, in-world. Sometimes it don't though. So anyway, lets talk about midi-chlorians? ,)
  • @ Arnox:
People got super mad about midichlorians in the prequels, but honestly, I never saw what all the outrage was about. You can still have a mystical aspect to the force combined with midichlorians. With that said though, I don't know if midichlorians really added anything to the universe.
  • @ Battousai:
I think boy George was trying to find a more logical explanation for the Force but no one really wanted it. Eventually we all just forgot about it and it never really came up again after Episode 1, except for maybe some SW comics I've read that used the term but those are from like 2005.
  • @ Drathnoxis:
I don't think anybody forgot about Midichlorians or ever will.
  • @ Drathnoxis:
People will keep kicking that horse until they day they die.
  • @ Battousai:
I don't mean that we actually forgot about the thing, but myself and most people I know who watch Star Wars just chose to ignore it. It didn't really add anything and after the negative response they didn't develop the concept much at all. At this point Midichlorians is in a state where they are canon but no one making any Star Wars related media acknowledges they are even part of it.

@Arnox https://intosanctuary.com/index.php?search/27340/&q="new+community+video"&o=relevance The problem with titling things as "new", is that, after a while, they're no longer new
  • @ Gauche:
    News to me
  • @ Drathnoxis:
If it works for Nintendo it can work here.
  • @ Arnox:
The "new" community videos are no longer new.
  • @ Signa:
One good thing happened with the Midichlorians: This series:
  • @ Signa:
  • @ Arnox:
Kung Pow: Enter the Star Wars is looking pretty good.
  • @ Signa:
It stays pretty good through all 7 episodes, the Mandalorian, and Obi-wan series
  • @ Signa:
The Mandalorian series is different. They start off doing a musical number with Baby Yoda, and then they focus on two storm troopers having an existential crisis, who in turn find the Mandalorian and help him out
  • @ Arnox:
What I would give for other forums to abide by Sanctuary rules just so I could say, "Shut up, dumbass." to utterly useless non-contributing replies. lol
  • @ Gauche:
Forum posts are typically done via text
  • @ Arnox:
    Really? :O
  • @ Arnox:

  • @ Gauche:
