Yeah, I'd been hearing that there were security issues, but I didn't really care enough to investigate further honestly .

Honestly, I can't think of a single reason to get an Intel chip now. AMD has been running right over them in every way.

Considering I mostly play indies/emulators its a bit much but being able to open two instances of Minesweeper will be worth

Edit: Changed out the psu
Turns out my MB manufacturer doesn't support my OS of choice so I changed to a custom version of win10

Update: Picked up a ACFRE00066A. I wasn't a fan of the "free" fan AMD provided due to the rgb and always had planned to swap it out. I noticed my fans would all rev up periodically while work was idle. Looked around in the bios and found the cpu had some performance boost setting enabled. Disabling it cooled down the room noticeably and the fans never rev'd up since. I'm hoping to notice similar results with this cooler once I get it installed in the summer.
