Seeking the Death of Others at the Hands of Someone Else

Balalaika has a particularly good quote in the second season of Black Lagoon.

Justice... I can't think of another word more loved by the people. It does have a nice ring to it... However... Without ever exercising your own strength, you seek the death of others at the hands of someone else. Huh, well... The justice you refer to smells pretty rotten to me.

This quote got brought to mind with the massive support of Luigi online, the (supposed) killer of Brian Thompson. Some were saying how much they wished others would do the same with other CEOs. They were always so quick to cover up their utterly apparent bloodlust with "I'm not crazy, but if I was... " or even better, "I don't ever condone murder but... " These quotes to me are just hilarious and self-deceiving. Yes, SuckMyBalls42 (random name I invented), you absolutely do condone some types of killing, but you just don't want to admit it to yourself or perhaps just not to others.

A more generous reading of what these people are saying would instead be, "I can't go out there and kill other CEOs that deserve it, but if I could, I fucking would." But then, is that really what they're saying beneath the surface? Or are they really just wishing what Balalaika was talking about? That someone would do all the work for them? Everyone wants to party, but nobody wants to pay the bill at the end. "Everybody's gangsta until it's time to do gangsta shit." It's hardly a new problem though. It's actually a tale as old as time. Hell, the American revolutionaries of old instituted a draft and had to force certain people to fight for their country. Not personally sure if that was really wise at the time, but there you go.

I guess in the end, this is a question that everyone has to answer for themselves truthfully and honestly. If you really truly want a revolution now, then what are you doing to help that personally? Are you just waiting for someone else to come in and save you and yours, or are you actually willing to pay that bill at the end of it all? Alternatively, if you DON'T want a revolution now, that's something different entirely. This thread isn't really addressing that side of the aisle. As to me personally... I dunno. I don't know if I personally think the time is right for a revolution. To just start going out there and gunning down CEOs willy-nilly. On the other hand though, I wouldn't be surprised if a form of one launched up soon regardless.

And no, mindless rioting sure as fuck doesn't count as "starting a revolution". That's just being a stain on humanity. A true revolutionary attacks ONLY military targets and will never harm innocents.

This has always been on my mind when stuff like this comes up and when I stop and think about it would I do it, would I get involved I always get sick at the thought of it. "We're nothing like God. Not only do we have limited powers, but sometimes we're driven to become the devil himself. What's your answer this time?" – Chapel the Evergreen. To me when people say "oh insert name here needed to offed" and I get it if they did something bad then I can understand it, but to me there the fear of what will this lead to.

And what I mean by this is when time runs out on my life, what hell awaits me at the gates. With all the past on my shoulder I do not deserve no lifeline nor sense of peace, or mercy. Yet my life was paid for already from a father who shed his own blood. And I feel this and depending on who you are and your ideas on life I feel it hard to keep grounded with just saying fuck it let hell have us all. Yes CEOs and people who do shady shit and really bad shit they are going to get it in the end. Sure it may be long we may say, "im sick of waiting" but I look at it as we all have to pay and we be standing with I bet the people we hate with a burning passion. All of us deserve hell for what we done, I mean humanity needs it yet we are still given a choice to save ourselves.

Now the idea of the revolution, man I been torn on this one for years. I love the idea ok ( I mostly keep it to myself but it a joke in the family) I know it be hell and there has to be some ground and rules. To be real, I don't want to see it. There is still beauty in life that I don't want to bee seen burnt down. Kind of funny Bad Religion if I listened to the song right sort of did a song on this toward the punk side of things.( when punk was still sort of punk)

And yeah that's my 2 cents on this sort of funny and good timing I was thinking on this then you posted this. God I have not written something like this in years, Im starting to think joining here might of been a bad idea it making me think and use my brain lol.

Yeah, a lot of people miss that even in the best of times, revolutions can be chaotic and messy for a multitude of reasons. It's not just gonna be a job of "lol Kill this guy and we've won." No. There's a lot of confusion, pain, and death before a revolution actually succeeds. IF it succeeds.

All of us deserve hell for what we done

I wouldn't go that far with everyone. And even in the absolute worst case of a human being, I don't believe a permanent Hell is just, but I digress. That's starting to get into religious stuff.

On this web site you are expected to make decisions all by yourself. You get to decide who and what to agree with, and why. You get to hear new viewpoints that you may have never heard before. On this web site people exist without age, without skin color, without gender, without clothes, without nationality, without any of the visual cues we usually use to discredit or ignore people who are unlike ourselves. All of these things are stripped away and the ideas themselves are laid bare.

You will change. You will transform. You will learn. You will disagree.

You will enjoy it.

And so it is for Sanctuary. People aren't used to thinking outside the box anymore. They're used to being told what is right. What is good and bad think. "Oh, how could you think those things? You must be a psychopath!"

Any ideas outside the norm are censored. Downvoted. Crushed. "You can't say that on OUR site!" In the early days of the internet, this sort of talk used to be rather easy to find, and TOTSE especially used to serve this duty particularly well, but Jeff Hunter (the owner) fucked off to who-knows-where. Other sites had to take over. And now, after many years, we are pretty much the last one standing.

If you know of any other site like ours, let me know.

Yeah that is true I mostly used that as view the world, but I do agree that we need more compassion then just looking at everything as ” if it not on my side it against me”. I do find it funny as I made this joke years ago, and if life was exactly like how people acted on social media, I bet we never get as far as a society. Because everyone starts sounding like the Postal Dude or a wannabe Light Yagami. I do want to know why do everyone want a revolution at the moment something seems not perfect. Because if you look at history look how that turns out. Yes it works but most of the time it can go wrong and lead to a worse state. The USSR, China as we see it now, and Cuba. I think a few more that lost me. I think people romanticize it to much, only to ignore how much death, pain, and destruction it brings. And people yell for revolution it seems when they are just mad or need to blow off steam.

“ this guy cut me off on my way to work, REVOLUTION.” Someone I bet said this at some point.

But yeah it is nice to just be able to speak your mind in a place even if small that is full with some sanity. Peace and Love fellas lol.
