Like Jim Carrey's The Mask, this movie had no right to be as good as it was. Even the film producers thought that it would never see the light of day, but here we are. And I'm glad that it did. At first glance, the movie really doesn't seem like anything special. Just some cheesy 80s movie, but nevertheless, it somehow manages to capture your attention. Bill and Ted's raw enthusiasm for life is just downright infectious, and Ted always seems just so stoked to be there, wherever "there" is.
The comedy isn't half-bad either with many quotable moments and funny scenes, but admittedly, it's not always reliable with the comedy. Some jokes just don't work. Still though, you should definitely give this movie a shot. And maybe even high on weed. I don't usually recommend one sees a movie high, but this movie just seems perfect for that state because of how much energy and hope is in it. I hear the sequel is almost as good, but I don't know if this movie really needs one. In the meantime though, party on, Wayne. Wait... Wrong movie.
