I went into this expecting some wacky Ken Jeong comedy, but it turned out to be a played-straight romance. About some rich fuckers...
Ok, I wanna be clear that the movie DOES realize this. It's generally self-aware and it has a good message. So, that being said... It was still like I had hate-vision for most of the runtime as I saw the ridiculous excesses and luxuries of the ultra-rich. I think some of this movie is supposed to be a fantasy for the poorer class of women to be wowed by, but for me, the more extravagant it got, the more irrationally angry I got. People are ROTTING in cities without shelter while China brutally censors and polices its citizens for the slightest wrongdoing and these fuckers are eating $100,000 gold-foiled shrimp while chatting about the new BMW their daddy gave them.
Fuck this excess. Fuck this entire world. Fuck them.
I apologize as I don't think I'm really a fit person to be reviewing this movie, but I still wanted to say something about this shit.
