This movie was slightly entertaining to watch, but that's the best I can say about it. The script for this movie was all over the place right alongside bad editing, some cringy or even outright pointless scenes, and weird acting. Alright, I suppose Jennifer Connelly does a pretty good job, but there's only so much this poor lady can do, and it's certainly not enough to salvage this movie. Her growing relationship with Jim Dodge here is not believable at all, though I don't think this is Frank Whaley's fault either. The character is just flat out poorly written.
What is surprising though is that John Hughes was behind this movie, though it also seems he was very unhappy with how this movie turned out and even asked to be removed from the credits. (Universal refused.) All in all, I would definitely look around for other movie opportunities.
