Believe it or not, this is one of those famous movies I haven't ever fully seen until now, and I gotta tell you guys, that hit the fucking spot. Especially after reading both Erin Dies Alone and Critical Miss in full and remembering how fun and good the Escapist used to be, I got pretty forlorn, and this movie just absolutely came in clutch, as the kids say... Do they say that anymore? Am I getting old? Eh, fuck it.

Although this movie is pretty damn funny (in my opinion anyway), it's actually got a very good message too, albeit a message that other movies like Ferris Bueller's Day Off have already done. But you know, there's nothing new under the sun, and what really matters here is the execution, and this movie pulls that off with absolute flying colors. For starters, it's a stoner movie for sure, but what I like about it is that it's not just some kids fucking around while high, although that would have been perfectly acceptable for a simple comedy. No, the main characters actually learn to take responsibility for their lives AND relax, learning to enjoy life to its fullest, be adults, and chill out.

I especially loved it at the end when Harold goes from absolute loser to absolute pimp. I didn't think it would be at first, but the payoff is incredible and sooo satisfying to see. Once again though, it just goes to show this movie's incredible execution, start to finish.

If I have to ding this movie for anything, it's that Freakshow was pretty damn gross and, of course, the blatant product placement. Maybe should have toned both of those down. lol Beyond those two things though, definitely see this movie if you haven't yet.

Damn it’s been 21 years since it came out. That itself is crazy. What timeline do we even exist in nowadays?

I can't for the life of me remember a single scene in this movie and I watched several times back in the day. All I remember is the dumbass poster of NPH on top of a unicorn for the second movie.
