  • @ gaijinkaiju:
have a designated area, a beach for example, where people are free to let them off. you could even have a firetruck or two on standby. but doing that would be too hard
  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
Or, educate the kids properly in schools. So they grow up knowing common sense, actions and consequences, critical thinking, etc.
  • @ gaijinkaiju:
@Vendor-Lazarus yeaahh, considering we've got decling literacy in children and increasing youth crime, a proper education would be a great start.
  • @ Arnox:
Heh. I forgot how funny Yahtzee is. I should watch more of his stuff again.
  • @ Arnox:
Too bad he doesn't do Judging By The Cover anymore.
  • @ Drathnoxis:
I completely forgot about that series. My initial thought was that it didn't run very long, but looking now it looks like there's over 2 years of episodes if they were weekly.
  • @ Gauche:
I miss the lets drown outs - was probably the last thing I watched on youtube regularly

Elon Musk is the J. Jonah Jameson of Twitter.

does he also want pictures of Spiderman?
  • @ Arnox:
    Spider-Man on a Tesla.
  • @ Arnox:
That joke of mine was lame. I can do better.
  • @ Houseman:
@Arnox Can I have the "The actual hero" title removed from me? Thanks
  • @ Arnox:
    It is done.
  • @ Arnox:
Might be trolling. If so, that would be very good bait.
  • @ gaijinkaiju:
Apparently there's a new social media site called "hive" that people are fleeing to (because this one totally won't crash and burn), and it got me thinking.
  • @ gaijinkaiju:
What is it exactly about twitter under Elon that they don't like? Surely if they've already curated their feed (as you should) then they won't see any of the "mean tweets" or accounts they don't like. Even if they do, just block them? What is it exactly that they have an issue with? Should probably make a thread about this, but I'm lazy
  • @ Houseman:
Probably ideological purity and not wanting to "support" the "Alt-Right QAnon Nazi" who owns it
  • @ Arnox:
Probably the simplest explanation they'll give is, "I just don't want to deal with it." Even though "dealing with it" doesn't make much sense. A better explanation would then be that they're leaving because they think the site's going to implode, which actually does make more sense.
  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
Their ideological extremism allows no opposition and no debate. They've also been told and shown that places that allow other views or "alternative views" are tainted, and would tar them with the same brush. Risking doxxing, and shame/namecalling. It's also done as a show of force to get the place to comply with their demands.
  • @ Gauche:
I'm chalking it up to cry-about-ism. Twitter really propagated cancel culture online
