  • @ Arnox:
I think it's an animation thing. An animator will think an instant action coming out looks sloppy or cheap even if it feels very good to play.

  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
Even worse, if that is allowed to take precedence and artists overrule programmers.

I love the Japanese for their manga and anime and I like parts of their culture, but I do detest what state they've brought gaming to. Interactive Owe Boll movies.

  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
Not to mention mangling genres to be overly broad AF.

Belmont's Curse 99% done (which mean different things. Either just before last boss or after last boss with one or two items/secrets/etc missing). It was.. mediocre at best. Worse than Blasphemous 2 actually.

Well, starting on Tuesday it appears, since I seem to have to work non-stop in the next 4 days.

old.reddit.com now redirects to reddit.com and the addons don't stop it!
I still get the "old reddit" look, however, but the RES subreddit filter no longer works. I usually filter away
any sort of sexual or politics subreddit.

Are we really surprised by this? They've been wanting to completely blow up old Reddit for a while. If I'm surprised by anything, it's that they didn't do it sooner.

By the way, yes, the critical PHP vulnerability that was found recently has been patched on this server.

    genuine question
    a) do you actually enjoy any of these games
    b)
why do you keep playing games you clearly don't like
    Link
  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
a): https://intosanctuary.com/index.php?chat/message/11054/view b): because that's how you find good ones (and because I'm bored)

  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
also, I hate the empty and expected praise that's showered over every game that comes out today. Critique and complaints are how to make them better in the future hopefully.

  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
Moadra not looking too good either. Slightly below Blasphemous 2 in fact.

I have recently started writing again! I think some just hit that point where reading is just not enough anymore and they need to put down a story they want to see written. But when I first started doing it again here, I forgot how creatively exhausting it is your first time and especially when you're starting up a new series. So many small details you wouldn't normally think about when reading are deeply important when you're writing.

It's also very unintentionally sparked my wonder with the world and has done a lot for helping malaise. I forgot this feeling. I used to have it when I was writing as a teenager. It's good to feel it again...

What genre(s) are you writing in?

    Sci-fi space opera.

It still works for me. Are you using old reddit style on reddit com, or old reddit on old.reddit com? With/out the userscript fix?
