I can’t get over seeing all the big time game company’s shooting themselves in the head so much lately. It’s something out of a Greek Tragedy lol

I'm especially flabbergasted at GOG's handling of the recent email in which they highlighted The End Of The Sun. They managed to alienate and ban most of the people coming to their defense, and some of the people wanting to cancel them over it. Just, mindblowing. A "how to play both sides against yourself" kind of retarded self-sabotage.

What beer happening with GOG? I don’t think I have seen this yet.

Hoo boy that is a shitshow. Reminds me of when people got mad at Kiss because they thought the two S on the stage logo was the SS.

It looks different on different platform. It's this symbol btw: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koppa?useskin=vector (and the others are Wheel of the year and a sunburst symbol)

But r/gog banned anyone pointing this out, and GOG forum banned anyone talking about it because it's "politics" (but they host pride month sales)..

GOG really is doing a bad job with this. I swear are there any rational people working at any of these companies anymore?

Even most indies have gone to shit now. It's either IdPol or idle/incremental or tower defense or rogue-Lite or pron VN's. At least on the yarr sites I happen to occasionally stumble across.

I went to go see Toy Story 5 with my family
. One trailer had a "realistic depiction of a panic attack" in it. I hate those. I think it's because it normalizes them.

  • @ Arnox:
Ehhhhhh, I would say panic attacks have been in the movies since the 90s and also, with PTSD, they absolutely can be legitimate.

  • @ Arnox:
Weirdly, I think Iron Man 3 had the best portrayal of them.

  • @ Houseman:
In the 90s the examples were probably from things like war movies, which I can understand. Tinnitus, people dying all around you, stuff like that. Legitimately dire situations. But they don't do the whole "okay, calm down, name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear..." etc. Kids will probably be faking panic attacks for attention because their preteen cartoon characters are having them.

  • @ Houseman:
    I don't remember Iron Man 3

  • @ Arnox:
No, in the 90s, you'd have panic attacks from ditzy blondes as well as soldiers. Ultimately, I wouldn't take it too seriously.

  • @ Arnox:
Oh also, I thought I thought of a better example than Iron Man 3, but this is more a PTSD flashback than an actual panic attack. And that would be Revy from Black Lagoon in Roberta's Blood Trail.
