I went to their Discord server. Talked to a few of the crew. They seemed excited about it, but they kept on delaying it and delaying it. This went on for at least a week although if I recall correctly, it was more than that. Finally, I lost my patience, politely wished them luck, gave them my email, and left. Haven't gotten a single email from them.

Sold a game console locally, but the shopkeeper got real flaky because it was modded. He wanted to return it to full factory settings and I'm like... Why?

Maybe its easier for the shopkeeper to resell the console if its simply the base console with nothing else instead of having a bunch of extra stuff that was added via modding, which may or may not include malicious stuff which he could be held accountable for if the person that buys that console later has complaints. I mean you do want to sell the thing and not have your customers come back and demand refunds because they don't like what they got.

But anyone could also come into the shop after a console sale, claim the console was modded, and then demand their money back. Unless the merchant specifically took a video of the whole console operating in an unmodded state, the merchant wouldn't be able to prove it.

There are two nice things about it though. For one, when you pause it, it will now hide the interface if your mouse stops moving, allowing for quick screenshots finally. The second is you can now actually fucking read the video section title on a white background when you move your mouse over the seek bar.

The only major "social media" I use is reddit (niche sub-reddits only). If that even counts as social media. No insta, tiktok, facebook, twitter, whatsapp, snapchat, etc. Surviving is easy. Then again, I've never needed to socialize with other people. Most humans are social creatures though. Sounds exhausting to me, having to focus on annoying and ultimately pointless drama.

Yeah but it's annoying because it does cut you off from otherwise very easy social access points. One can definitely still get by, but you gotta be at least somewhat socially independent and/or have a good way around that major impediment.

I walk around town, and sometimes, people get very curious about me. But there's no information about me that is able to be accessed on popular social media, so they have to resort to asking me sometimes awkward questions just to get any information about me.

It generally is normal conversation, hence why I said sometimes. Other times though, I can tell people people are pretty damn curious about me. And of course, that's not a bad thing at all. I just found it a little funny.
