It used to be when you turn 18, technically 21, you are a adult, you want to drink beer go ahead, want to pay a hooker, sure you are a adult, want to buy a gun you can do that. I thought the entire point was that Adults can make their own independent thought, not like children who needs adults to supervise them because they are not mature or old enough?

@ Lost-Zeneration-99:I think people has just been taught that being a slave to the system or that giving up your rights are a good thing because whatever reason is given at the time. "Oh no the kids are eating tide pods, got to ban the Internet cause little Timmy was not raised with anything close to critical thinking skills" or one I love "Got to force Age Verification to stop the pedos, yet the same pedos are making the laws to begin with." I find it odd when you call it out, you end up the bad guy for some reason.

@ Battousai:Email is obsolete overall given that we live in an era of constant instant messaging. I don't think I've gotten an actual email from anyone I know in like a decade, except from my parents sending me important stuff like documents or whatever. People don't really use email anymore unless its something important that requires it. What we got are leftovers of that past era that still require it because they have used it for ages, like sites sending you confirmation emails for signing up to something.

@ Arnox:I don't think email is obsolete, but I am definitely aware that it hasn't been used as a regular communication tool in casual conversations for a while. That being said though, email is VERY much used in business and government use. What is true is simply that there isn't really a lot of reason to email me when you can just use the forums as a guest, though that's more a public medium and email is for matters more sensitive.
