Has YouTube been really slow lately for any of you?

HOPEFULLY... It's just me. But I'm thinking this is another attempt by YouTube to fuck with the viewers.

EDIT: This actually looks like some sort of Javascript slowdown bullshit. Nothing to do with the connection.

EDIT2: Maybe an incompatibility with Firefox that YouTube introduced. Safe Mode sort of fixes the issue but the slowdown is still kinda there.

EDIT3: It... Randomly fixed itself? I dunno. Mozilla probably fixed it.

EDIT4: Wow, it's still happening. Fucking hell.

I still don't get ads or artificial slowdowns or not site working. It works the same as it always has. Although, there is one new thing that's happened with YT in the recent days (a week perhaps). Sometimes, rarely, the vid just won't continue buffering from a certain point. Refreshing, reloading, rewinding, doesn't work. Good thing it's so infrequent as of yet.

I think I got that once. Regardless though, I'm starting to think this is a Firefox issue here.

No slow down for me so far, but I see that the memory usage has massively increased for YT tabs for a while now, I was on for a couple of hours and the tab I was on had been playing a string of videos. When I checked the tab for memory it was almost at 3 gigs. The cached data from YT has gotten pretty insane but it clears when you close the tab, and I also recommended clearing all the cached data from your browser just in case if there's no change to the slowdown.

Just as you said it, I had the weirdest problem on YT. It caused the browser to just constantly hang and reload over and over and over again. With small breaks to scroll comments in between. A restart fixed it. Altough..

When I had the above problem, YT did ramp the RAM usage to 1.8GB!!! The most I've ever seen. Even after watching 40 cop cam vids. Usually it stays at 1.3GB. On all other sites it's around 7-800MB max.
