It has ran its course basically, 4chan is no longer relevant like it was back in the day as a forum/image based bulletin board. Reddit took the reins from that really and so all the flak goes there.

Doesn't the article say the court granted at least one of the requests? Seems less like a ruling victory and more like an untelated question of some requests not meeting the evidence standard.

This was a California federal court decision anyway, and the case is in New Jersey. No theoretical reason why a New Jersey court couldn't pull Reddit in and make a more permissive decision on their own terf.
