I was on &T2 until the S&B community on it brought a little too much heat and got the site taken down. I recognize Arnox and a few other members from before and it’s a blast from the past! Was kinda hoping I’d find Ghost Prototype here but alas…

Nah, I didn’t know this place existed till today. I reluctantly made an account on cocklet after &T2 shut down but wasn’t a huge fan of DFG’s cultivated atmosphere. Was on &T3 for a minute when it was still around, but the old gang was pretty much gone.

Well, I should tell you, besides me, don't expect to see any other familiar faces here. Everyone from &T2 and Zoklet either left or got dumped. Here's the full sordid history if you'd like to read more. The TL;DR though is that everyone from Zoklet wanted /b/ and Sanctuary was not and will not ever be that, so whoever is left from that old community is at niggasin.space now (though a few still drop by from time to time).

Regardless, we've moved on and are slowly building Sanctuary back up. We've also given anyone who has posted here access to 20 GB (though there was talk to raise that to 50 GB) of completely free off-shore secured hosting.

(For the record, I miss a lot of people from &T2 as well. Ghost Prototype, Seitzy, Idiosyncrasy, Shere Kahn... )

That's fine, I feel like I need to take a bleach shower when I look at /b/ most of the time.

Is the offshore hosting 20GB per person or shared between all forum members? Is it storage or a web server? (or is there a thread where all of this information already lives?)

As to me, a LOT has changed. I can't even... Perhaps most notable though is that I'm no longer LDS and am a Theistic Isolationist.

that sounds like a big change. are you doing ok, in that regard? i struggled quite a bit in my transition from baptist to agnostic to atheist, hopefully it hasn't been as difficult for you. or if it was, that you're in a better place these days.

I wasn't great for a while, but I'm doing much better now. Still worried though that I need to worry about God or a God-like entity in the afterlife as, researching NDEs, a lot of them have a common thread of seeing such an entity in them.

Regardless though, those two threads I posted should give you all the details on what's up with me and what I believe now currently.

It's been a dense decade or so, but I'm (allegedly) still kickin. Not as e d g y as I was before, but that's for the best.

I touch computers for money now. I think I was still in the learning stages when I was posting on &T2, but I've come a long way since then. I kinda hate it because of the jobs/working environments I've had over the years, but I've been trying to rehabilitate my relationship with the skillset. It's been a slow process because I don't always have the energy for more cognitive load after a day of heavy cognitive load.

honestly, i was still a noob to most things when i was on &T2 too. i feel like i could have written your whole post, though i was already doing IT work professionally (using that word loosely, the shop i ran was not super professional) back in those days but i'm still doing the same kinda work myself. been getting better recently about studying to do anything better - i lost most of my 20's to depression and self-medicating with cannabis. but i'm in a better place these days (it's wild what a difference a change in material conditions does for someone) so i'm getting there. i will not likely be discussing what i'm doing / planning on doing in this space. i'm a little more open on social media than i use to be, and i don't want cross-posting to lead to deanonymization. glad to hear from you / see you're around.

yeah i dipped out for a couple weeks, might be doing that periodically. i'm more likely to check your forum than to check the mail account i used to register, just a fyi, but i'll try to check here every now and then, even if i'm not super active.
