Weary moderate looking for a community

Greetings, all. I'm a moderate looking for a community that isn't 90% leftist shilling, and after a search, I found this place thanks to a Reddit post. Allow me to give a brief overview of my recent history on the internet:

In 2019, all was well (save for an incident in November involving my right eye getting superglued shut, but thankfully I mostly recovered from that experience, though my vision might be a bit worse now). Gaming was having a kind of renaissance, and we had SSBU fighter passes and CTRNF grand prixs to look forward to. I was a member of three seemingly fine forums: Zelda Universe, DK Vine, and Serenes Forest.

Then 2020 happened. Riots broke out, terrorists vandalized my country, the election was cheated using machines because the USA elected the "wrong" candidate last time, and oh yeah, the COVID-19 pandemic was initiated. Suddenly, everything was shit. Companies went woke left and right, and free speech was all but completely stripped away.

During the first couple years of this leftist hell, I experienced the most intense and lengthy episodes of anger, disgust, and hatred in my life. After a political rant I posted on ZU (in a political topic, mind), I got hit with 8 infraction points out of the 10 needed to get banned. I ended up leaving the forum after that, save one brief revisit after my father died a couple years later, when I posted about it on there and inferred that some members there would be happy to know I'm suffering. I have not returned since.

Then, during the leadup to Crash 4: It's About Time's release, I posted a message that used a bad word on the DK Vine forum, though it wasn't supposed to be a slur (the term was "she-male" if anyone's curious, though I wasn't using it to refer to anyone of a trans background). They could have asked me to change my post, which I would have done, but nope, they just banned me.

As an aside, I used to frequent Twitter as well, but that became a Leftist echo chamber, so I left there as well.

Most recently, I left Serenes because it became apparent that the majority of users there are Leftist and I did not feel comfortable staying there any longer, given my past history with Leftist forums. So, I found myself without any forums this morning and went looking for some that aren't so politically biased. Brave's search engine is lousy with Left-biased results, so finding this place took a little effort.

At any rate, I'm hoping I can speak more openly here without getting mobbed by Leftist thoughts police. I'm mostly interested in video gaming, and am designing games myself. In case anyone's curious about the name, it reflects my mindset in the current political environment; I feel like a lone island in a sea caught between two warring continents.

In my experience, a designer is usually the "idea guy" that gets artists and programmers to make their dreams a reality, while contributing little themselves. Do you have any skills in game development?

As a matter of fact, yes. I do a lot of art and spritework, and I have some experience working with game programming through the likes of Game Maker and Stencyl. I'm even contributing some assets to the development of a game called 7 Fears. Here are some examples of my work (If I can get permission to do so, I'll add examples of my contributions to 7 Fears).

One of my Mega Man X OCs, Zeta
My take on the concept of Wapeach
A collage of Pokemon sprites for a fangame I'm designing

I've dabbled a bit in music composition, though regrettably I have nowhere near the level of talent there that I do in illustration. I spend a lot of time planning games on a macro and micro level. I also spend time teaching those interested about my techniques for art and spriting, including negative space, 3D form visualization, weight, motion, and perspective. Given time, I'd like to learn more about programming, though I do in fact want team members who can help me if possible, as 4-5 people working in coordination can get a game done a lot faster than 1.

In addition to video gaming, I also play card games, primarily Smash Up and Lorcana nowadays. I used to be a regular in the MTG scene, but that went woke, so I left the official game. I do still design custom sets using Magic Set Editor, however. I'm also designing a lot of custom Smash Up factions (over 100 probably, haven't counted), in collaboration with a Smash Up server on Discord. Among my Smash Up projects:

Cave Men (completed, though still needs tweaks)
Robin Hood
Animals (Beavers, Bees, Foxes, Turtles, etc.)
Fantasy (Giants, Trolls, Genies, probably gonna add Angels and Demons)
Halloween (5 factions: Bats, Pumpkins, Spiders, Trick-or-Treaters, Witches)
Christmas (A Christmas Carol, Christmas Toys, Reindeer, Santa's Elves, Snowmen)
Dragon Ball Edition (8 factions: Baba's Warriors, Dragon Ball Hunters, Kami's Guardians, Piccolo's Demons, Pilaf Gang, Red Ribbon Army, Turtle School, World Martial Artists)
Nintendo Edition (8 factions: Animal Crossing, Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem, Kirby, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, Super Mario)
Every Disney movie between Snow White and Zootopia not in the official Disney Edition
And much, much more

I keep most of these sorted on Google docs, on top of game plans and anything else I want to write down.

are you a retard?

Seriously though you sound like me before I got into race realism and started reading fascist literature. I'm the resident racist homophobe. Houseman is pretty based too and arnox can be hit or miss. But you can call people niggers or fags here and won't get banned or anything, it's pretty cool.

TL;DR. Welcome aboard. You're in the right place.

That happened when I was attempting to superglue a piece to an Ecobee display at Lowes as part of my job. I was not familiar with using superglue, a small hole formed in the side of the tube while stuff started sticking to my hands, and a jet of the foul substance got shot into my eye by accident, leading to me spending the rest of the day being driven around to different hospitals, getting my eye pried open (my eye was blood red when that happened, according to my mother), then going back the next day to have a dilative anaesthetic applied while the doc removed pieces of glue from my eyelids and eyeball. I then spent the next ten days recovering while the vision in my right eye slowly returned. There was also a bloody spot next to my iris that faded away over time.

I'm never going anywhere near superglue again, but to anyone else who does, I advise: wear protective eyewear, and preferably complete face protection. You do not want that shit anywhere near your face.

I felt it best to get the baggage out of the way ahead of time.

Bro I'm sorry but that's hilarious. It sounds like a three stooges skit lmao. I can only imagine how pissed I'd be if superglue shot into my eye.

Well, for one, you can't open your eye the way you normally do. The pieces of glue, which solidify almost instantly, cut into your eyeball and make it bleed. And even once somebody manages to pry your eyelids open, the pieces of glue are stuck there, poking into your eye, feeling like sand, until somebody plucks them out with a surgical tool while shining a very bright light into your eye, leaving your eyelid feeling loose and bruised. It was literally the most hellish experience I've ever suffered through in my life, and I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

I'm kidding. I know how rough it is out there, and we all have similar stories.

I wasn't joking about the TL;DR part though. My eyes have been going bad lately, and I can barely read long paragraphs anymore. Every line starts getting a ghost image of the next and previous layered over them and I got the gist of the story away :D

The ghost effect seems to come and go at different times of the day, so I'll read it fully now since it's not too bad while I write this. ;-)

arnox can be hit or miss.

I'm sure most people would say this about me. This is because I almost always see both sides of an issue and I don't like going for red vs. blue dynamics. With a ton of people, if you're on "their" side, well, you're just a straight shooter, through and through. But if you're not, or at least, not all the time, you're "hit and miss".
