Well of course it passed the fucking Senate. Why not. lol Pieces of shit... The only silver lining here is that its funding was truncated down from five years to two years.
EDIT: Saving the list of who voted for this in case for some reason it magically vanishes.

Yay, the Senate is at it AGAIN. Senate bill 2073. The Kids Online Safety Act. And the TL;DR of it is every US-based social website will be forced to implement identity verification and major content restrictions! How fucking exciting.
The Senate, of course, passed this out-of-touch, bloated, draconian bill by a bipartisan landslide except for, I kid you not, 1 person (it was Rand Paul, and also, 13 others were not available to vote). So yeah, fuck pretty much everyone in the Senate.

It's a sad state indeed when one can't even keep a list of representatives that don't try to erode the constitution because it'd contain 99% of them.. Not including lobbying corporations, NGO "think-tank" consultants, meddling media, and corrupt justices. So, no worries, hun ^^.
