Regular editions (unless you already didn't have any kind of copy of the game) look like a waste of money, not gonna lie. Dat special editon tho... Maybe... Maybe... Price is pretty nice too for what you're getting.

I just realized that for the ungodly amount of years I've played JKA, I have never actually bought the legit game. I bought 2 burned CDs back in 2005 and they costed me like 2 or 3 dollars, lol. All the rest was torrents.

Just saw two things that really pissed me off just now. 1. Dark Forces 2 Special Edition was also being sold a while ago apparently, but of course I didn't hear about it and it's long gone now. Fucking hell, I would have actually liked a copy. 2. JKA and JK2 will be limited to 1,000 copies worldwide. What the actual fuck? That's nothing. 100,000, maybe even 10,000, but 1,000 copies? You better preorder this bitch RIGHT when it comes out or you ain't getting one without selling your damn car.

That probably has more to do with the fact that JKA and JK2 are over 15 years old now, the only ones buying it would be the old fans. There is no real reason to make a large stock when most of the current player base is pretty low . The people who just want to try the game will get regular copies most likely.

Even then, 1,000 copies only is still ridiculously low. Also, I think you underestimate the popularity of JK2/3. They weren't obscure games at all. lol

If you still don't believe me, look at how fast the special edition of JK1 sold out. They were taking pre-orders for it on March 20th. They had 2,000 copies. Now? Gone. And JK1 was even more obscure than JK2.

Then that's probably what's gonna happen here, I think the aim is more to sell the regular new editions of the games for the different platforms. This seems more like the publisher is not really interested in putting money towards those limited editions, and just puts out a really low number as a marketing tactic so they will all sell pretty fast and leave people wanting more. It will likely boost sales for the regular editions.

To add insult to injury, alot of resellers likely brought them too. You'll be able to find them on ebay for massive markups, which is abit of shame
