Hey everyone!

So I found out about this forum on a reddit post discussing the impact tumblr’s upcoming nsfw ban would have on the site (tumblr), and thought “Sanctuary sounds cool let’s check it out.”

So far everything seems really chill and the actual history of the site is really interesting.

Cheers!

(Ps: I hope I become addicted to this site, hah.)

How was Tumblr better than any booru for sexual images? I think I registered once on Tumblr to see some 3D CGI images, but that was it, never used it later on.

Welcome to Sanctuary! <3 As said in the post, things aren't quite ready yet to go into full drive in terms of advertising, but what we DO offer is already fully established and completely stable.

If you have any questions or complaints, please let me know. Also, be sure to read our fantastic rules if you haven't yet!

Personally, I felt it was easier to browse—I know how problematic that sounds, haha—than other sites when looking for niche nsfw interests, nsfw fandom-related memes and nsfw art in general. It was simple to separate what I did and did not want to see and to filter things soley using a specific tag.

Let’s say I only wanted to view nsfw content related to a pairing I liked (in this instance let’s say the pairing was korrasami = Korra and Asami from LoK). Tumblr basically made it so that all I would have to do was type “korrasami nsfw” into their search engine—or if I was feeling lazy, type “korrasami nsfw tumblr” into google—and all posts tagged with those words would pop up, giving me plenty to pick and choose from.

I could even go really specific and type “korrasami steampunk nsfw” and something related would come up.

So in short, tumblr’s excessive tagging system is what made it better than other sites hosting adult content.

This is only my opinion though.

Welcome! Welcome! I hope you don't find us too abrasive. We generally mean well, even if it comes off wrong. Just ignore anything the user Infinity Shock posted. He was exploiting our openness. No one else is like him here.
