Youtube drama talky video outline

I'm thinking of doing a "drama" talk-video in which I criticize a Youtuber. Someone wanted me to float the script by you guys before recording, so I'm doing that.
Here's my outline. Not included are a bunch (90 so far) of screenshots (mostly of reddit comments) I use to back up my claims

His name has been censored so that he doesn't Google himself, like the narcissist he is, and spoil the surprise. I briefly spoke about him in the chat once, but other than that, you guys probably don't know about him.

Revision 2:

XXXXX
-Introduction
-- XXXXX has a failing youtube channel
-- Repeatedly asks for advice, but then says to almost everyone that the suggestions doesn't apply to him or aren't helpful
--- Thinks his channel is uniquely special
--- Therefore, angers almost everyone he interacts with online
-- Gotten banned from multiple subreddits, discord channels
-- Has had (at least?) seven videos made about him, has been mentioned in more
-- Here are the problems with his mindset, and the solutions to those problems

-The Problem
-- thinks he's pretty great
-- thinks he's his own best judge
-- he won't believe you if you try to point out his flaws
--- Everyone who tells him that his content is bad is untrustworthy.
-- Thinks he's already doing everything right, thinks he has the skills of a pro youtuber
-- was given a challenge to note the differences between a successful video in the same genre
--- other video got 2m views, has 150K subscribers, while xxxxx's opening videos hardly ever go over 200 views
--- only differences he found were "slightly different camera angle" and "opened different products"
-- Blames external factors (like the algorithm) for his lack of success
--- Doesn't want help with his content, wants an exploit to beat the system
---- He'll jump on any cheap trick he can do if he thinks it'll help fool the algorithm
--- Doesn't believe that being entertaining or informative is the key to success (because, to himself, he already thinks he is)
--- Thinks he's just unlucky
-- Always mentions how old his channel is
-- "expects" that his channel should get views based on age
--- could be that he thinks success is about channel age, not skill

- Difference between "inside" skills and "outside" skills
-- outside skills are things that someone else could do for you
--- avatar, banner, thumbnails, tags, playlists, description, social media management, etc
--- XXXXX seems to focus on "outside" skills
- Seems to shut down whenever "inside" skills are brought up
-- Ignored "inside" advice
-- Ends conversation when confronted with watch time average
-- low statistics are indicative of low quality, conflicts with xxxxx's self image, so he rejects what the statistics say

- So, the problem
-- The problem is that you have a distorted view of yourself. You have an over-inflated ego
-- You think you're pretty great, and you believe this very strongly
-- The phrase is "you are your own worst judge" for a reason
---- so when people tell you otherwise, you are very resistant to that idea.
---- so you blame your lack of success on external factors, not willing to believe that it's just you
----- you are unwilling to improve in areas where you don't think there's a problem
----- you are looking for ways to succeed in all the wrong places

- What if you're wrong?
-- Then you're hurting your channel by not improving in the areas where you need to improve
-- Then you're wasting time by chasing after exploits
-- You are overlooking the true path to success

-How do we tell? How do we prove this once and for all?

-Get data
-- take those questions that you were asked, ask those questions to others
--- See the difference between your numbers and their numbers
--- Use this to adjust your self-image
---- Once you realize how bad you really are, then you can finally start to improve

-How to improve

-First, getting better can only improve if you admit the problem
--It has to come from you, and you alone.
--Like dealing with an alcoholic

-Keep trying
- Now that you know you aren't as good as you think you are, really listen to what people are telling you
-- You can no longer use "I've tried that already", because based off the surveys, you need to keep trying
-- You are NOT at the top of your game
--- sport analogy, coach tells you to do pull-ups to improve in some aspect of a sport
---- you try for one week, and you haven't improved. You tell the coach you've already tried
----- no. Keep trying

-Conclusion
- tl;dw You have an overinflated ego which is keeping you from improving. Once you deflate your ego, you can finally improve
-- Once you fix this problem your channel will start to improve
--- you'll stop making people angry
--- you'll stop getting banned from communities
--- people will make videos of your comeback story, instead of roasting you
--- your life outside of youtube will improve

Is your advice specific to the YouTuber or do plan to utilize a more general tone there? If yes, I can't say I agree with everything you have to say, but I don't know the YouTuber, so if you are being specific you could be entirely correct.

And, since I don't know who this YouTuber is, I'd just like to point out that getting big on YouTube generally requires some level of charisma and understanding of your audience.

Making YouTube comment videos on other "YouTubers", how's the bottom of the barrel looking there, Houseman, find anything neat?

I'm a bit puzzled, what is moving you to do this, what are you getting out of it?

Yeah, it's specific to the Youtuber. I plan to use a lot of "XXXX seems to think" language instead of "You seem to think", except for the Solutions section, which is full of "you" language.

That means I can only go up from here!

We met on a "help for small youtube channels" subreddit (back when I was trying to be a youtuber), where I tried to give him advice. I wanted to understand why he is the way that he is, and now I think I've done that. Analyzing people, understanding people's motivations, and figuring out what makes them tick have always been super interesting to me. I should'a been a psychologist or whatever field gets to do that for money.

Above all, I still just want to help him. This is my magnum opus when it comes to helping him.

I'll add a line or two about why I'm doing this to my introduction, thanks.

Should I move this over to Upcoming Content Discussion since I'm assuming you'd like to post this on the official Sanctuary channel?

I'm still undecided on which channel to post this on.
Alright. Just keep in mind, if you wish to post it on the official Sanc channel, I gotta review it as that video will be taken as our official stance.

Huh, is that new? Do we have an official stance on Jackson Pollock paintings, or how to kill The Flood from Halo with modern-day tech?

I'm referring to the official stance of the site team (which, for all intents and purposes, consists of just me at the moment), and thus by extension, Sanctuary as its own entity sans the community. Now does anyone actually give a shit what our "official" stance is on these issues right now? Nope. Will they care in the future if we get popular enough? Maybe.

Oh, sorry, I also misread. I now see that you said "will be taken as our official stance". At first I read "will be our official stance".

Perhaps it would be better to say that Sanctuary endorses and supports any content posted on the official channel. Except for that one time I posted that, all things considered, shoddily researched LSD video. Definitely not my finest moment.

Maybe it's my total lack of investment, but this seems like really pointless. Highschool Drama level of pointless.

Still, looking at your outline, I can't tell if these subjects are actually being expanded on properly and contructively. He may even have a point from his perspective on many of them. Things like complaining about the algorithm. If these are all falsehoods he believes, then you're going to need to address why he's wrong.

-- thinks he's his own best judge
Something like this. While there's a valid argument from both sides, you need to be able to explain how the outsider perspective is important when courting an audience, and that being his own judge is meaningless if he ignores things others have issues with.

My main goal is to help him. If I can make him see, even a little bit, what his real problem is, then I'll feel that I have succeeded. I'm really not trying to rag on him. If you think it comes across that way, I'll lighten it up.

Good note, I'll add in a section at the very end of "The Problem" section, where I clearly state what I believe the problem to be, and then explain how it's hurting him.

Yeah, I deliberately don't want to go down this route with trying to disprove his individual beliefs. People have tried that with him on reddit, and it never works. I believe this never works, because it never gets to the core of the issue. I think the argument of the algorithm, and all the other falsehoods he believes, can be settled by solving the real problem. If my theory is true, that the real problem is his distorted view of himself, fixing that problem will solve everything else.

For example, If he takes my advice, learns that he isn't as good as he thinks he is, improves himself, and then succeeds, then that proves that it isn't just the algorithm.

On the other hand, if he takes my advice, but still doesn't succeed, then that's probably a strong indication that the algorithm is indeed keeping him down, but at least he'll be in a much better place wherever he decides to go from there, which is what really matters.

Okay, made a Revision 2 based off of feedback. Cut the "based off channel age" rebuttal because it felt like arguing over a symptom. Also, added "So, the problem" and "What if you're wrong" sections, as well as a segue to "Get data".

BTW I just noticed that both signa and Monoochrome have Disney-dog avatars. Neat. If I were to have one, I'd choose the dog from Pocahontas.

A coincidence, to be sure. I just saw the edited gif and laughed my ass off, so I applied to to my profile. It doesn't even frame well, because you can't see Lady's face reacting to Tramp.

Off-Topic: Yep, coincidence. I just happen to like the Dog and the Song "Why should I worry". I've never actually seen Oliver and Co

I went my entire childhood wanting to see it, but we were too poor to see it in theaters, and it never released on video to rent. Something like 15 years later was it available, and it barely could hold my attention. It wasn't a very good movie. All the other Disney movies from that era are worth at least one viewing.
