Conversations. Isn't that what forums are for? Isn't that the "main draw"?
Beyond that, who's this "we" that will be producing this content? Are "we" capable of producing anything on a regular schedule?
But to give a suggestion, how about we become known for discussing what other places won't touch? For example, if people outside of our community are feeling censored by other platforms that have banned discussion of this or that article, or this or that topic, we would be the ones having an active discussion about it. We would be known for openly discussing those taboo topics.
For example: a lot of places banned discussion of GG, and a lot of people were looking for places where they could discuss it. 8chan opened their doors and gained most of their users this way. The goal would be to try and do something similar, to try and catch the controversies that other sites avoid.
We could hook into some news (rss?) feed and automatically create topics based off of headlines or something, so when people google the headline looking to continue to conversation, we'd pop up in the search results.
@andersonnnunes could possibly help. I'm thinking automation, because that wouldn't require a lot of long-term effort to watch the news and make threads, but it can be a manual process too.
