Thoughts on Making a Comic

This was discussed a little bit in the chatbox as we were talking about the sad state of Erin Dies Alone. And ever since then, it's been rolling around in my mind. One of the first concerns I have about this is my drawing ability, and although I know there have been tons of popular webcomics which could be churned out in a minute, drawing-wise, I'd like mine to reach a certain quality standard all the same, even if I know it's not gonna look like the next Mona Lisa. The second concern I have is simply if people are even gonna care. I'm already running a lot, so putting on a seventh hat is definitely questionable at this point. But I will say it is a pretty good excuse to get people here. Which is our ultimate end-goal for world domination.

if you want, I can draw it and you can write it. My skills ain't great, but it's more practice for me, so the offer is there. of course, I guess it also depends what kinda style you're going to go for

EDA is the standard for me personally, but if you'll illustrate, I might be much more inclined to do this. Do you have any previous work I can see? You can PM me it if you like.

if eda is you're standard, I'm out then.

That's my personal standard, not the standard I hold others up to. That's why I said I'd be much more likely to do this if you're going to be illustrating instead of me. Now, if you still wanna pull out, that's totally fine, but now I'm really curious as to what you can do.

Drawing comics is fun, good ol' fun.

But what story do you want to tell?

A story-based comic sounds fun, but before I even think about that, assuming I'm also going to illustrate this,, I want to get some drawing experience first, so it'll probably be a commentary-based comic like Bloom County or Critical Miss.

The important thing is, whether making a game or a comic or writing a book is to "just start"

So do it

Do you have the miscarriage plotline planned out yet? I belive that's the most important thing to consider in a successful gaming webcomic.
