For those who don't know, AnyDVD HD is a software tool that lets you bypass blu-ray and DVD DRM protections, but most notably by far, UHD blu-ray protections. They also made a tool called AnyStream that allowed you to bypass the DRM on any streaming service.

I am soooooo fucking pissed at this. Was gonna buy a lifetime license this month, and what do ya' know, right when I decide that... They're fucking gone!

I knew this shit was gonna happen. Somehow, I just knew. "Arnox, you should get AnyDVD HD before they fold... " And I told myself, "Nahhhh. They'll be fine." And now... When I finally am ready to get it... Boom! Gone. Fuck me.

So... What are the alternatives? Thankfully, you can download an up-to-date keydb.cfg file from this site for use with VLC and play UHD and regular blu-rays. You can also use MakeMKV to rip content from a blu-ray disc, though it doesn't make ISOs. As to streaming, there's StreamFab but it's fucking expensive and I hear it works like ass. Maybe. That was just one person though who said that. Maybe their computer was fucking it up. What is nice though at least is it looks like StreamFab is a permanent license. RedFox's AnyStream was only on a subscription basis.

If you use the above mentioned keydb.cfg alongside XReveal you can use it (so far as the key db is up to date) much as you did with AnyDVD HD. The UI is very similar.
Or, if you use makemkv to rip the entire disc contents, you can use imgburn to make that into a usable or burnable .iso.

Roger that. First time I've heard of XReveal though and they don't seem to want to post their source code.

I've been using the keydb for the few times I need to play a disk. It's a good solution for popping the disk in and playing. Otherwise, I'm just using digital copies. Much easier to get and maintain, considering how I have the storage space for it.

Not a surprise. It's a paid product with a limited free offering. The free offering, though, seems to do pretty much anything AnyDVD did and in much the same way - as long as you have that keydb parked where XReveal can find it (you tell it where).
