You wanna know why? It's because they're so fucking antagonistic. Even the peaceful protests are usually all angry and shouty at everyone they pass. It is not enough for a protest to be "peaceful". They must also be kind and helpful. People should be GLAD you're there, not desperately wondering when you're gonna finally stop the shouting and leave. By being this antagonistic, you're disgracing both yourself and the cause you're trying to champion. And I get it actually. Some shit went down and you're mad. You don't wanna be peaceful. You wanna crank up Guerilla Radio and start throwing molotovs, but then you need to ask yourself something. Do you wanna stage an angry antagonistic public protest or do you actually wanna get results and get supporters behind you? If the former, then don't be surprised if the policia show up and start practicing their baton skills on your face.

Nobody likes protests, they get in the way of everyone else who is just trying to live their daily lives. Protests usually don't do anything useful, the people or organization they are protesting at don't give a flying fuck and ignore them, and the only ones affected are people who have to go to work either passing by the protest or work near there. Apparently the majority of idiot protesters tend to think that making the lives of regular people miserable is the way of making themselves heard instead actually going and protesting at those responsible for whatever plight they might have.
