It's using a google android OS. Which is bad, and should be avoided at all costs. If one cares anything for privacy, or even anonymity. Or monopolies.

It'll very probably have an unlocked bootloader as per ASUS ROG phone tradition, so you can put custom ROMs on it. The real question though is if ROM developers will support it. Which they probably won't, or at least, not for some time as ROM developers pretty much all lag years behind the latest phone offerings. Either way, not really ASUS' fault and as I said, if you want full privacy and security, your options are either Pixel with GrapheneOS or go fuck yourself. The modern smartphone landscape is a very sad and pathetic state of affairs.

Are there any dual boot phones out there? I've never been much for knowing everything about phones and the various technologies on the market.
