I'm dissapointed by this year's Steam sale

Nothing on my wishlist that I actually want is under 50% and about half of my wishlist didn't even go on sale. This has been a recurring thing for the last couple of years but this year in particular may be the worst year yet (With my cart containing only 4 products).

How about you are you actually getting anything on this sale?

Don't play on PC, but I saw Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the first Sin for a tenner on the PlayStation Store... Might just nibble.

All the more pricey games I've seen have been massively cut. Again, Guild Wars OG and DW:U are NEVER on sale. And if EDF 4.1 is on sale, it's some piddly sale that's barely better than full price.

There's also GTA V which is 60% off. And then the classic Call of Duty games. Black Ops 1 and 2 both 50% off even. Although I wouldn't buy those from Steam anyway because Activision can suck a dick.

BTW, if you haven't yet, if you're gonna get ANY game, get OneShot. It's six dollars now. Better than Undertale. Should legit be priced at forty for the quality of the story told. Get it and see what I'm talking about.

Also, it's not on sale, but Overload looks pretty damn promising.

I've never actually bought anything from a steam sale. A few years back, maybe 5 I found myself often tempted, but equally as often out of funds as I've never been someone who saves anything up for such sales.

I agree that the sales have lost value, at least it seems to me like they used to do better deals for more popular games.

My Gaming PC is broken, so buying anything would be out of the question (also saving for my vacation). But I don't see anything I'd care to have at a price I'd be willing to pay anyway.

I thought there was a MASSIVE decline in quality of the sales around the time they started allowing refunds. I think Steam built enough of a base to not need to entice new users to join at this point too.
