A friend recommended this movie to me (or maybe they just wanted to see it, can't remember). I grudgingly gave it a shot. Honestly, I'm not into thrillers. Not into horror at all. This one isn't fully horror, but even so, it's enough horror to annoy me. I think this actually could have been a really cool movie, but a series of missteps towards the end brings everything down.

The idea of a DID sufferer slowly piecing themselves back together is a really promising one, but the movie takes too many creative liberties with the disorder, and all that for a payoff that is not satisfying whatsoever. And on top of that, the real killer was... The kid! A fucking 8-year-old (or so) kid! He somehow goes through 9 adults, one of them a former cop, and two of them hardened criminals. What, they couldn't punt this fucking kid out a window or something???

Ah well. I did like the backdrop of a spooky rundown motel on a rainy night. Rather cliche for a horror movie, but then, with this premise, the movie could have really took advantage of the mournful, isolated, and contemplative ambience besides just using it for horror shit. You know... If it was actually a good movie.
