I own both the Gold & the Anniversary editions, but I do have a little bit of trouble making it work right, so if you're on for that I just have to do a bit of troubleshooting before being prepared.Vendor was playing Titan Quest ($5 on humble bundle right now), and I thought it could be a cool one to play as a group. Also, the chat system in JKA was frustrating to deal with. I voted something else, but JKA is fine too.
If we're gonna play an ARPG, I might suggest Grim Dawn instead. I was in the middle of typing and your messages kept disappearing off screen before I could read them. I'd then open up the console to read what you said (after I missed a ton) and then I couldn't type back. Then I'd hit T instead of Y and start to type a message you wouldn't be able to read. It's typical for a game chat system to behave that way, but it wasn't great for conversation. And I was enjoying our conversation. If we're gonna play an ARPG, I might suggest Grim Dawn instead. You can actually chat right in the console. Just use the /say command and then the message you'd like to type. You can also just type your message and enter it in the console and it will assume you wanted to use the say command but that's definitely more unreliable as, naturally, it might pick up the first word in your message as a command. I generally don't do the /say stuff when using the console to chat if I'm just doing short replies.I was in the middle of typing and your messages kept disappearing off screen before I could read them. How about runescape? It even has a clan featureOooh..ooooh.. How about Phantasy Star Online?
Or a risky private Wow?
Why not both a fun game AND a more serious one? ^^I think if we're going to pick a different game, we should decide if we want something we can just kinda goof about in or if we want something a little more focused. I think gmod would be kinda fun, not sure if anyone else has it though

I've got titan quest, just not ragnrok too
It's a stand alone physics/building (at least that's what I think it is) game in the hl2 engineWhy not both a fun game AND a more serious one? ^^
I don't have gmod..is that a mod for..half-life...2? ..Garry's mod? ..Isn't that just a physics..thing?
I read up on RuneScape (3)..No thanks. Seems a lot has happened since I last played it.
I'm also not a fan of their microtransactions, from what I understand.
I could go with an online game, if it is good enough.
Both of my mentioned games (PSO (1) & Wow) would be private servers though.
Yeah..Garry's Mod never looked fun to me. Sry.It's a stand alone physics/building (at least that's what I think it is) game in the hl2 engine
What about classic runescape? Has its own separate launcher
Didn't realise it got shutdown, oh well nevermind.Yeah..Garry's Mod never looked fun to me. Sry.
You mean Old School Runescape? Classic was shut down.
Having found the difference and read about it, it still doesn't seem a good choice. Only old members are allowed full or major access?
Why not PSO or Wow though?
I don't have any thing against wow, I just don't keep my sub going since I don't use it often enough. Never played phantasy star, but I'll look into it now
I think I need to clarify. PSO and Wow would not be official online. Anyone could set up a server.I don't like WoW at all really. Vanilla WoW... Maybe. But I'm not paying Activision shit so it'll have to be private servers.
Phantasy Star Online looks like WoW but with extra steps.
How many players can it fit though? It would be a great game to play, but yeah.I've been playing Supreme Commander again. Not really a good social hangout game, but I've been having a lot of fun playing it. I figured I'd throw it out there.
I know the default maps go up to 8. I had a custom map at 16.How many players can it fit though? It would be a great game to play, but yeah.
BTW, looks like JKA's back on the menu, boys.
That is one big problem with Strategy games though. You can't just jump in and play. Everyone's gotta do the tutorial, and ESPECIALLY for a game as mechanically deep as SC.I know the default maps go up to 8. I had a custom map at 16.
