Like Cast Away but definitely more lighthearted all around. I think there's only about five total movies that convey the beauty and general character of equatorial islands well. This is one of them. But yeah, the movie gets appropriately serious at the right spots, but don't expect an epic blockbuster at all. It's still a romcom, it's simple and contained in its aims, and it executes them well I think. Harrison Ford is his usual blunt self and Anne Heche plays the everywoman kinda well too. It's pretty entertaining to watch the two personalities bounce off each other so much.
