A somewhat obscure romcom about a tropical vacation gone bad starring Harrison Ford and the then unknown Anne Heche. Like Cast Away but definitely more lighthearted all around. I think there's only about five total movies that convey the beauty and general character of equatorial islands well. This is one of them. But yeah, the movie gets appropriately serious at the right spots, but don't expect an epic blockbuster at all. It's still a romcom, it's simple and contained in its aims, and it executes them well I think. Harrison Ford is his usual blunt self and Anne Heche plays the everywoman kinda well too. It's pretty entertaining to watch the two personalities bounce off each other so much. And to top it all off, we have David Schwimmer (of Friends fame) acting like a lovable doofus with Jacqueline Obradors.

Definitely give it a watch, but just don't expect too much out of it is all.

I remember that movie, seeing Ford acting in a romcom felt so damn out of place, especially because I felt I was watching him as if he was doing Jack Ryan all over again in a comedy. Also it's not that Anne Heche was unknown, at that time she was known more for her work in television in the early 90's, its just that she was in general a B movie and independent film star for the majority of her career despite the more high profile roles in the late 90's early 2000's. In fact what she came to be known for mostly is the relationship with Ellen DeGeneres, which at the time was pretty big for being such a public lesbian relationship between to celebrities and then her mental health issues that made her a difficult person to work and deal with overall.

Frank Schwimmer (of Friends fame)
It's David Schwimmer btw, unless you are using the name he had in the movie which was actually Frank.
