Putin Calls for Full Destruction of Ukraine Statehood Before War's End

Russian self-proclaimed President Vladimir Putin’s recent statements indicate a firm stance on ending the war in Ukraine through the complete destruction of Ukrainian statehood and identity, a new report indicates. According to analysts at ISW, Putin’s meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on July 5 was used to reject ceasefire negotiations and express support for a “final” resolution to the conflict that aligns with his goal of erasing Ukrainian statehood.

During a press conference with Orbán, Putin outright dismissed any temporary ceasefire agreement through negotiations. He emphasized Russia’s preference for a “full” and “final” end to the conflict rather than allowing Ukraine to regroup or rearm. Putin’s demands include significant territorial concessions and military capitulation from Ukraine before engaging in any discussions about the war’s outcome.

Experts highlight that Putin’s unwavering stance excludes any outcomes other than the destruction of Ukrainian statehood and identity. His call for Ukraine’s demilitarization aims to strip it of resistance capabilities, enabling Russia to impose its will unchallenged. This approach suggests Putin’s intent to leverage Ukraine’s surrender to achieve broader political changes favoring Russia.

Military analysts argue that Ukrainian counteroffensives reclaiming strategically important territories remain the most effective strategy to undermine Putin’s confidence in achieving his aggressive goals. They urge Western support to bolster Ukraine’s ability to conduct these operations swiftly, preventing prolonged conflict beyond what is necessary to secure a peace acceptable to Ukraine and its allies.

Putin’s recent interactions and statements illustrate his disregard for ceasefire negotiations and his persistence in achieving objectives through force. Meanwhile, internal polling in Russia reflects Kremlin-driven narratives influencing public support for the war, emphasizing patriotism and grievances rather than critical scrutiny of military actions.

Right... At this point, I don't think we're ever going to see an end to this fucking war until Putin gets flat out assassinated. That or his war supplies somehow get choked off. But that strategy would take a long while to see to fruition, if it ever does come to fruition. (Unlikely.)

That's the point

Aren't you the same guy who said this

Yep. And I said that... Assuming that Putin had an actual game plan, and was actually sane, and wasn't willing to just throw himself down a fucking pit for nothing. I was wrong on all counts. So I guess we're really gonna do this, guys. Prepare for the Middle East 2: Electric Boogaloo, Slavic Edition.

It's been clear from the start that the escalating aggressive actions of NATO and EU instigated this, as anyone could have seen a mile away that Putin wants a demilitarized zone around Russia's borders. I've continued to see propaganda to the effect that Putin is losing the war ever since it started. While Putin had reasonable grievances, and support from populations within Ukraine that wanted to separate, I think he's going the extra mile because at this point there's no option left for a friendly seize-fire and land Split Off from Ukraine. The hard stances of continued military materiel from other countries, and more bases around his borders, and no talks offered made this a last choice. It's never one's fault that two argues goes heavily into this.

According to this Reuters article:

The deal is reported to have included clauses demanding that Ukraine adopt a geopolitically neutral status and not join NATO, limit the size of its armed forces and grant a special status to eastern Ukraine - all things which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has made clear he opposes.

Maybe Putin's initial demands might have been reasonable... Had Ukraine started a Russian invasion in 2014 instead of Russia invading Ukraine. We would be having a very different talk if that were the case. But if we go all the way back to the 2014 occupation of Crimea, when and where this entire shit-show started, Russia got its jimmies rustled when the former pro-Russian president was ousted by protestors in the Revolution of Dignity and so, Putin thought that gave him the right to start mass-invading a sovereign country.

So, knowing all that, it's no surprise that other countries are now no longer so keen to enter into talks (though I'm sure they'd still do it if Russia offered directly) nor is it a surprise at all why Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Ukraine despise Russia so heavily and have a very flat demand of, "Get your shit out of the country and never come here again."

The debate was that you don't know what you're talking about, as you just agreed.
Nah, a question was raised about my former predictions regarding Putin. I was proven wrong with them because I didn't think Putin would go completely into retarded clown territory. Hence, my latest takes now take his retard behavior into account. Now, I'm asking you to tell me why you disagree.
