Who the fuck hates Michael Jackson's Moonwalker? I will beat them up.

but on the subject of the thread though I'd probably say Borderlands: The Pre Sequel, I really liked it but people most players go fucking nuts because it wasn't as good as Borderlands 2 and because it was not the sequel they wanted at the time.

Who didn't like The Force Unleashed? Unless the PS2 version was a poorly running piece of crap.

Sonic unleashed
I'm starting to notice a trend here.

As for me...

Unreal Tournament 3 but only because the core gameplay is actually pretty good. It's just so much of everything else surrounding it that's pretty bad. Better than UT2004's core gameplay for sure. In comparison to UT99's core gameplay though, much more questionable. Also Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox 360). Will brutalize you but the raw feeling of bloodlust it gives you is absolutely unmatched. And Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Terrible Banjo-Kazooie game. One of the best vehicle builders of all time.

I'd probably say Borderlands: The Pre Sequel, I really liked it but people most players go fucking nuts because it wasn't as good as Borderlands 2 and because it was not the sequel they wanted at the time.
Actually, you'll find a fair amount of people that didn't like Borderlands 2 either. I'm more indifferent to it, but there's a large amount of people that continue to say that the first one was the best. I tend to agree with them.

I have that game, the PS2 version, and while the first time I played it I did enjoy it it is a vastly inferior version of the PS3 original game. A lot of PS3 games got a PS2 port and most were mediocre overall not just a graphical downgrade.

Yeah that's what I was suspecting. By the way, I made a last minute edit quoting you about Borderlands. lol I gotta stop making posts without fully reading them through...

Borderlands 2 remains the most popular one out of all them though, despite opinions on the which game might be better. The problem with the Pre Sequel was exactly that everyone was on a high from that Borderlands 2 popularity and were expecting the next one but instead they got an Aussie version of Borderlands that was an interquel between 1 and 2 in the exact same engine with only a few changes in overall gameplay. So after having waited a couple of years for a proper sequel everyone wanted the story to keep going basically, and the reception from the fans was overall negative because of that expectation which ended pushing the making of Borderlands 3 for many years later. This doesn't make the Pre Sequel a bad game though, it had many really cool new mechanics for guns and new elements to play with, an overall decent game but the expectations of people wanting Borderlands 3 really did a number on it. If you look at it now though the reviews are pretty good, but at the time I remember people just trashing it for existing lol.

I liked pre-sequel. still do. hard to say if i think it's better than 2 though, definitely better than 3.
my only issue is that i never got my steel book for pre-ordering it, and that still annoys me to this day

It was definitely not better than 2 on the overall department, but it was a good Borderlands game, it was fun. It simply got way too much flak for not being Borderlands 3 which was what the fans were bitching about at the time.

Bruh. Hard disagree on these ones. Especially the first one. 76 was such an epic trash fire all around. I get that people really wanted multipayer Fallout, but that wasn't it, chief.
I have put 450 hrs into that game, I'm not going to tolerate you talking shit

76 got better, but the problem is that it was trash at launch and remained trash for quite a long time before it had some proper fixes. Also the sheer audacity of Bethesda in the microtransactions for the game and what they were charging, not to mention the canvas bag scam they did for the people who bought that special pre order power armored edition or whatever the name was which they changed to a shitty nylon bag due to "unavailability of materials" and they were not making any refunds to people complaining about this.

What are you gonna do, arrest me? You know it's true. lmao Don't be a stan.
You just can't help some people. You can show them mountains of evidence as to why it's bad, but a few stubborn ones just refuse to see it. Some become hypocrites at that point. Others just take refuge in their own narcissism. A select few say that convenience excuse it.

As scammers know, a sucker is born every minute.

Well, let's not act all high and mighty, Vendor. I'm sure we could find something embarrassing you have paid patronage to as well.

Shadow of Destiny was great! Gameplay wasn't much, but the story was a lot of fun and came together well.

I certainly don't hate it, but I do have to say it was a bit of a letdown, as a kid, to discover it wasn't a port of the arcade version.

But on topic... Doom 3 was actually a pretty good game, and the whole "it's too dark to see" thing was blown way out of proportion.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I think I wrote something about that a long while ago...

What the hell is this game? Doom was about super fast run-and-gun action, killing demons by the truckload in mostly well lit environments. Here, you're just running around with a flashlight in pitch black hallways and rooms like a dumbass. Yep. Carmack thought this was a good idea for Doom 3. Open some doors and get randomly pounced on. Step into a room and hear an enemy, but now you gotta make the decision of either having your flashlight out or a gun. Oh, and don't forgot all the audio logs and emails you'll have to go through to get some random door code or box code. 10/10 Doom gameplay, John. So impressive...

Now, I didn't really get the proper way to play this game either until I came across this quite awesome video of a Nightmare speedrun for Doom 3. And then it hit me. You see, this game is the opposite of FC2 in a way, and the way John Carmack intended everyone to play Doom 3 (creeping along corridors with the flashlight) was kinda shit. When you don't take your time, and you just blast through the areas as fast as possible, the game instantly becomes MUCH more fun and what Doom 3 was supposed to be. It's still not perfect, but it does offer a much more different and unique experience. The weapons are mostly well-balanced for this as well and quite satisfying.

What I recommend is getting a handy list of all the door codes and etc. so you don't have to look through all the damn PDAs. Having said all that though, I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy Doom 3's more immersive atmosphere. I guess I would also recommend just playing the game normally if it's your first time, and if you find it's just not working out for you, then switch to a much quicker more intensive play-style.
I also should have added pretty much every game on that list as well.

While it was certainly nothing similar to the arcade version it was not a bad game at all. The change to a side scroller game though seemed necessary since the arcade was a typical isometric arcade coin operated game in terms of gameplay, didn't seem to fit with a home console at all. Not to mention that they also had to downgrade the graphics and the sound, the Genesis was incapable of handling any of that.

Anarchy Online. It has a vast spectrum for what you'd call "success". It's 63 or so skills with very few profession/breed/level locks, it's also an end of life MMO that has a mostly veteran playerbase and a ruthless economy. Meaning, you can either get along with people and thrive or take a poke at it like a helpless noob and probably hate every minute of it. I love it's freedom, and the ability to twink characters is nearly endless compared to other games. However, without help, you're likely going to drown. I've played on and off since like 2006 or 2008 and I still feel like I have a lot to learn.

Perhaps that's why I like it so much. It's too big for me to "conquer" like most games and I do genuinely enjoy the long, complex challenge.

The community is generally extremely helpful though. Got handed more money than I'd need for months my first day back, for example.
