If you don't have the game already or haven't backed up the original version of it, I would do it now. (GOG has the full version of it without all the Creation Club shit attached to it.) Who knows what the fuck Bethesda's going to do to the game in their infinite Todd Howard wisdom. The impact could be very little, or it could be an absolute modding massacre. And not the good kind. Oh, also, Windows 7 backwards compatibility may be removed as well.

Whoopsy, looks like this shit has just happened with Skyrim now. And fun fact: Looks like anything from the new store can't be manually downloaded and applied to other retail editions of Skyrim, though I could be wrong.

Apparently, again, GOG versions are still free of this crap. I also have the classic Legendary (32-bit) Edition of Skyrim and the GOG version of Skyrim Anniversary Edition saved.

Damn it, Bethesda, just stop.

I downloaded that Skyrim update and all my mods still work though, if people's stuff is actually breaking it might be isolated cases.

It's possible, but only for the creation club stuff I had most likely, I got several other mods that add content to the game and change the skill/perk tree for example and all of them are working. So not really sure.
