Jay asked this question in a very recent video so I'll copypaste my answer here. What would I spend my money on?
Nothing.
And you know what I would recommend for Christmas 2023? Also nothing. It's the Christmas rush. To spend money on a GPU at this particular time, to borrow a good phrase from a movie, demonstrates a level of incredulity that borders on the imbecilic. Just wait a damn month at least and you're gonna see prices absolutely PLUMMET. If you absolutely positively need a GPU, then this discussion is entirely moot and it depends on what you need it for, but if you just need A GPU and don't really care which one it is, you could just get a nice super cheap 1050 Ti while you wait, assuming you don't have onboard graphics. And that graphics card can be used later as a testing and display out GPU given its incredibly high compatibility with PCs and operating systems. (Not as good compatibility as the 750 Ti mind you, but there you go).
TL;DR - Don't get fucked by GPU resellers. WAIT.
