First heard about this from Ian's Forgotten Weapons video about an error in the movie involving the Bren heavy machine gun. Hey though, if Ian really loved it, then it must be worth at least one watch. And thankfully, he was definitely not wrong here. Now, it is true that this movie isn't fully historically accurate in terms of the context surrounding the siege, but according to Ian, the context was sooo incredibly complex that the producers could have wasted two hours just discussing that alone. This was not a case of missing details because the filmmakers wanted to dramatize it as much as possible (although it is a movie, so some dramatization is inevitable) but simply due to lack of time. And I believe it, because even with the greatly distilled version that we're given in the movie, I still found myself a little confused as to why certain events were happening. Regardless though, I definitely enjoyed my time with this movie and will need to rewatch it in the future sometime.
