Your Most Important Asset is Your Empathy

As I continue my pagan religious journey, this idea has become more and more apparent to me. Of all the qualities and virtues someone may have, a person's empathy is like a jewel. Every other quality in comparison to it just cannot live up to it at all. No matter what religion you come from or currently follow, empathy should be your guiding light and what you should hold most dear in your life and your personality. And right next to it is humility. The only reason humility is not as important in my eyes though is that it can be really easy to take humility too far and crush your self-esteem. All things in moderation as they say, but empathy and humility together is a wondrous beauty all its own.
