I've been starting to cook recently, because I think it's a useful and practical life-skill to learn, and I'm on the hunt for recipes. I'm starting out with chicken.

The flat-out easiest thing I've learned to do is to just chop up raw chicken, cook it in a skillet until thoroughly cooked, then add frozen vegetables and bam, you have yourself a stir-fry.

The tastiest thing I've learned to do is to take sour cream, shredded Parmesan, and spices, mix that up, put that on raw chicken, and bake it.

What do y'all like to cook?

Diced chicken breast, with a honey soy coating, mixed with whatever brand noodles you prefer( i use indomie Mi-goreng since they're super cheap here, or Nong shim shin ramyun when i want something spicey) makes a great low budget ramen.
Most of my cooking involves nuggets or noodles though, since i'm lazy and they're easy

Being able to prepare food certainly can be described as "a useful and practical life-skill", you're right about that one.

Although not too complicated, or maybe even nutritious, I very much enjoy making pancakes. Some flower, milk and eggs and there you go, batter for simple pancakes ready to be dressed with all sorts of things, although I personally enjoy a simple syrup with light powered sugar on top the most.

One dish that I particularly like to make is Oyako-don; basically a bowl of rice with chicken, egg, onion, parsley and a sauce consisting of soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar and sake. They are simple ingredients, but they come together in quite a nice taste.

Feel free to let it boil or simmer some more at the end if raw-ish eggs make you feel uncomfortable.

Due to time constraints and just generally believing the time consumed/payoff through taste factor of cooking is a giant scam, I'm a big advocate of one pot pasta.

It kind of annoys me when people say they don't know how to cook. You just follow some damn directions. That's really all there is to it.

As to my fave recipe... Damn, that's tough. It's hard to beat a good bacon-and-eggs breakfast. Fruit smoothies though are also <3.
