For me, it was 7am to 2am. I had to work my shift, and then 3 hours later, start some more work for getting done over night. It wasn't friday, so I was expected to show up at 7am the next day too. I didnt, but I came in late.

I just realized you mean shift, not shit.

Your thread title had the word Shit to me in a glance.
I noticed that after I posted how it read if you weren't careful. I thought you were joking about that, and not thinking i was actually asking about your bathroom habits.

My longest working shift...I can't properly remember what it was.
I think it was 16 hours. Less than 24 hours either way.
You can only legally work 13 hours for one day, and have to have 11 hours of rest between each shift.
You can work max 40 hours a week. 8+8+8+8+8 is the usual standard.
There are exceptions to these under certain circumstances.

No, it isn't. I hope I never have to experience it again.
Constipation is on an equal level.
Both the lower back pain (not shoulder, not gluteus maximus) one and the blockage one.
Never had kidney stones. NEVER WANT TO!

Well, technically it wasn't a single shift. I ended up having to do my shift, cover for a co-worker and 2 Hours overtime. So, altogether 18 Hours. Though it was far from my worst experience when working.

Technically only 8 hours. But it was 8 hours of just pure standing, looking down, and peeling peppers. All fucking day, in apron, gloves and everything. Just mindlessly picking peppers. Oh and add to that the wonderful odor of onions and industrial cleaner. The only nice thing about it was I was paid a lot, but otherwise, easily one of the worst jobs I ever had.

I did a 20 hour before as a security guard. Luckily the building was closed for the day as towards the end of it, someone could've walked out with everything in the building and I wouldn't of noticed or cared.

This was due to 2 people canceling their shifts. I agreed to cover the first no show in exchange for someone else taking a shift I didn't want to do later in the week, the 2nd no show I just had to suck it up until someone came to cover the last half.

This isn't strictly considered work, but I've done the Global Game Jam a few times, where you make a game in 48 hours. My schedule is usually to start at 5PM Friday and go till 12AM Saturday, sleep for 5 hours, and then get back to the site around 7AM Saturday, then I don't sleep until after the event ends at 5PM Sunday.

But my work schedule is pretty standard, 9 to 5. Maybe rarely I'll get called upon to do two more hours for some special event, but nothing to complain about.

Sort of similar in length to yours, it was back when I worked at a Pizza joint, I got to work once from 8:00 AM to 2:00 AM with no breaks other than the occasional bathroom break and the small bits of time I used to consume some Pizza, I got burnt, my hands were all dry and gross due to exposure to strong acidic chemicals and I got cut with a knife, the worst part is that my supervisor actually gave me trouble when paying extra hours, but I guess it wasn't the worst thing, the whole day was super busy so it actually went super fast.

Next day I had to work at 8:00 AM but the manager had mercy and let me leave 2 hours early under the argument that they owed me a few lunch hours, which was true.

Well, back when I still worked as a freelance journalist I had a lot of long, highly irregular hours. Going over my old invoices and schedules, I frequently worked 60-70 hours weeks. This included working at night, during weekend or on national holidays. Although there was sort of a cadence to it of a couple of intensely busy 16h+ days followed by a few quiet ones.

The worst was a stint covering a 4 day music festival with a collegue, both of us doing 19-20 hours for 5 days straight.

Does work when traveling count?

Because if it does my longest shift in recent memory consisted of staying awake for roughly 25 to 30 hours.

First I went to the client's office in another state, then I spent the entire day working with him (8 hours shift) we didn't had time to finish everything and since the work was urgent and I had to go help a client in another state I hopped into a bus and continued working for roughly six hours barely finishing in time before arriving to the bus station.

The second client in question worked in the night shift and as such wanted to meet me in the office immediately after arrival (My original master plan consisting of sleeping in the way there). So I took a taxi, made it to her office and once again worked the full shift. Once again I didn't get to finish in her shift but by this time (Roughly noon) the other shift had already arrived and since I had yet to purchase my bus ticket back home they made me stay there until I was done with it, overall I would say I spent about 12 to 13 hours there.

Then I hopped in the bus back home, slept a couple of hours, got home, continued to work on some pending work that piled up while I was out, slept about 4 hours and went to the office for another full shift the next day.

That was a fun week.
