In their words, say you have ping X, every time you shoot, a collision cylinder is generated for enemies wherever their hitbox was X miliseconds ago (ie. where you see the enemy on your screen) and once the hits are evaluated, the collision cylinders are moved back.

This will work for any hitscan weapon. Projectile weapons are unaltered. (The reason for this is while UTComp had projectile compensation as well, it caused a lot of high ping players to have a major advantage. As projectiles would spawn super far in front of the player, meaning the projectile "travelled faster.") This basically means UT2004 now has ping compensation for ALL hitscan weapons. Not just the vanilla weapons supported by UTComp. The absolute madlads did it.
