One of my friends recommended this film to me, and I'm really glad that they did. However, if one looks online, opinions on this film are all over the place. Now, I'm not gonna sit here and say that this movie is utterly ground-breaking or revolutionary or even a little new. It's the same story we've seen before. Bad boy spy with a heart of gold goes rogue. Blah de blah de blah, government corruption and explosions... The other characters at face-value are rather familiar too.
But you know what... ? I still really liked it. A lot of the action is pretty good, though it can suffer from too much use of shaky-camera at times. But that's not fully why I'm going to recommend it. What really sold me with the film was the dialogue and seeing all these characters entertainingly mix and/or bounce off each other. Again, the characters are nothing you haven't seen before, but their interactions are so well written that I didn't really care. And hey, maybe I like the saucy sexy CIA lady or two, alright? Sue me.
So, definitely give this one a watch, but just know what to expect is all. As long as you do, I think you'll have a great time with it.
