Alright, guys. I looked at as much Minecraft modding tutorials as I could, but I'm quickly finding out how little the MC Forge devs care about good documentation for beginners. Because of this, it's really hard to even know where to start. You can find some third-party tutorials (that are also a bit outdated), but they mostly deal with making content like additional tools and ores, and they also don't provide the "why" needed to understand why something in the code needs to be there and how exactly Forge works with the mod code. Now, it's not totally unlearnable at all, but I think it is outside the scope of delivering a good mod at a reasonable timeframe for the clan.

I think the problem is also partly me as well though. I don't have any experience with Java. Only C++. And even there, not much. So that didn't help either. I hate to say all this, but that's the reality of it all. I guess I was quite silly to assume that there would actually be good documentation for an over 8 year old modding API for one of the most popular games on the damn planet.
