This movie is definitely a slow burn but I didn't mind that too much. What this is is a movie about being stuck in the past (I think). Overanalyzing things instead of just moving forward. But it does have some issues, and all of them have to do with how confusing this movie at the end when it throws a major curveball. I don't know. Maybe I'm stupid or something. But beyond that, I think I still understood the movie's main message and...

its somewhat romantic ending. Chris discovers that he's not the original Chris. The original Chris decided to go down with the station and the Chris now on Earth is instead another "phi-creature" like Rhyea, (Chris' wife) was. And with the phi-Rhyea together with phi-Chris, they can finally start over.

... Or maybe that's not what happened at all! I don't know. It really needed to explain itself better and perhaps explore more the ideas and concepts that Solaris invites. But then... Maybe there are no answers. Only choices.

All in all, there are better movies to watch than this on this subject matter, but I still definitely had some enjoyment out of it, so perhaps it may be worth your time regardless.
