It's great fun locally, but I'm never gonna play this game competitively though. EVER. Not even if there's a fire! Make one mistake and you'll literally eat a 25-33% combo that you can't do anything about except use your combo breaker. IF you have it. So Project M still reigns supreme as the best fighting game out there. Oh, and anything above Normal difficulty for the AI is flat out cheating as well. They read your inputs and do frame-perfect counterattacks. Plus their move priority can be bullshit if that wasn't enough.

Maybe I'll make a video of it.

Mhm. In Project M, you always have at least some options if you're in a combo. Mortal Kombat? Fuck you I guess.

BTW, if all the above wasn't enough, I just found out how anal MK can be with their inputs and how it apparently hates 360/PS3 analog sticks. Now I like to think I'm pretty damn decent with inputs. I can use Fox fairly quickly if kinda impercisely in Project M. But my screwups are my own. PM does what I tell it to do. Yet for some reason, when I play Mortal Kombat, there's a problem. And no, I'm not gonna spend extra money just to get an arcade stick for one damn game. How about NetherRealm Studios actually joining us in the modern day and building their game to accomodate analog which a HUGE chunk of people use?

Simulation racing games can barely be classified as games nowadays. If you don't have $500 worth of peripherals and a $1k computer to run them it's really no use trying

That said, if you spend the hundreds of hours required to get good at them, you will genuinely forget that it's just a game. For that point in time, you ARE IN A RACE CAR, battling it out on the track.

Space combat sims have the same appeal to me.
