Left wing, right wing, atheist, Christian... We all choose what we believe as if we're going shopping for our favorite bread. But what is true? What is really right? How much lip service are we going to pay to understanding others and being morally upstanding? Or is it not our fault? Are we really concerned with what's true or are we concerned with preserving our own little bubbles?

If you could take one look outside the norm, would you? You think you've searched enough to know what is right, but you haven't even gave it a serious attempt. Instead, you mindlessly listen to those who agree with you and condemn those you find too different. Oh, that's not you? Perhaps not. But global trends would suggest otherwise. A random woman on Twitter accuses another of sexual misconduct and/or rape, and though we claim we are above jumping to conclusions, many of our pitchforks are still raised in the air.

So you see, the problem isn't being left wing or right wing or a vegan or a Trump supporter. The problem is that we won't look at each side with honesty. The problem is that we don't care where the real truth lies as long as what we think we know sounds comfortable or "correct enough" for us. All this information at our fingertips, but we won't lift a finger to find out what's truly right.

We need to break the artificial barriers in our minds. We need to ask ourselves openly if we really know all the facts. And the facts we think we know, are they true? What if the people you thought you knew to be good were really scum and the supposedly awful people you knew were actually innocent? Do you have the full story or just a picture someone painted and handed to you?

But this line of inquiry will only take us so far. There's no end to the questions we can ask, so we, of course, must accept that we simply cannot know everything at all. And that is the first step. Admitting that we could very well be wrong in so many things. And once we have done that, we must simply do what we can. Once again, we need to look at all sides. Ignore what we wish were true and instead shift our focus on what is actually true.

I am not the only one awake in a world of sheep. I am just another imperfect person with my own issues and mistakes. And so it is for everyone else. But we must stop acting like cattle if we wish to stop being manipulated and lied to. We need to be courageous and to not compromise in our dedication to what is right, no matter what. We are already quite imperfect beings. Let us not make things even worse for ourselves and for everyone else.

While this sounds nice, it's pretty meaningless.

What is right?

That's dependent on who you are.

What makes the World worse? For whom? Is that good or bad?

I think for instance that the wishes of most say, Transpeople are understandable from their perspective, I also think that the sheer difference in numbers would mean that you'd get WAY more uncomfortable people if you let Transpeople use their Bathroom of choice. So, the World is always going to be worse for somebody here, so what's the right call? Empower the Minority to the detriment of a group of people whom they discomfort, which is however practically guaranteed to have larger numbers then the Minority?

My point is, we all have different interests. Therefore ideas such as "not making the world worse" mean nothing because that could entail anything depending on perspective.
