Purpose
The purpose of the Sanctuary clan is same as any other clan, only with a much more broad coverage. It is simply to unite all kinds of gamers in solidarity, to give them an amazing place to freely talk and share whatever they desire within reasonable constraints, to give a sense of friendly competition, and if possible, to take in and train some truly amazing players. We tend to focus on older games instead of the newer ones due mostly to better user control over multiplayer operations such as the ability to freely host our own dedicated servers.
How Clan Membership Will Work
Technically, if you play regularly on our servers, you are considered a "clan member". If you join our Discord, you will receive a free Sanctuary site account. You can find a link to our Discord here. You may also specify if you'd like to list a dedicated server you own as an official Sanctuary server here.
If someone decides to join the competitive scene of a game but no one has any rank in that game yet, they are automatically a General for that game. After that, any other new people to the competitive scene of that game must challenge one of the lowest ranking members. A recording of the match must be made as well. Alternatively, a staff member of Sanctuary can be present. If the new person has more victories, they will be the new member of that rank and the loser gets moved down the ranks by one. If an equal number, they occupy the same rank as the person they challenge. If lower, they take a rank even lower than the one they challenged. This will continue until there is at least one person occupying each level of rank.
After each level of rank is filled, every new competitive person in the clan starts off as a Private. To ascend your rank in any competitive (PvP) game, you must score an equal amount of victories or higher than the person with the rank above you that you are challenging. These are the ranks.

Team roles are much simpler and are freely given except for the Leader role which is awarded based on a combination of a player's knowledge of a game and their willingness to help people in general and to bring them together. A player can have any combination of team roles or none at all. These are the team roles.
Leader - Their role differs from game to game, but the gist of it is that they're responsible for the decisions and the coordination of the team.
Resource Support (if applicable) - Responsible for gathering and contributing resources such as ammo, gold, or craftable materials to the team.
Status Support (if applicable) - Responsible for buffing and/or debuffing duties in the team such as healing and curses.
Combat Support (if applicable) - Responsible for defending the team from adversaries and attacking specific targets.
