Huh?
Yes, you can actually play that online. With a mod.

I don't know about Oblivion actually but I'm pretty sure Morrowind has an online mod for it too.

I don't know, mang. I'm not really up for board/card games outside of D&D/RPG pen-and-paper games.

Going through the list I see borderlands, ut2004, sins of a solar empire and supreme commander gold

I'm also not a huge fan of Halo, but I played it anyway. Party games are great for community building too!

But have you actually tried it?

My Brother and I tried to play over LAN roughly a year ago. Researching it and trying to get it to work showed that while there are Mods, most aren't fully developed and or outright abandoned and what Mod we could find, we couldn't get it to work.

So, I'd be for Skyrim, that would be neat to play in a co-op way.

Otherwise I have and enjoy CoD4. Still utterly unsure about the extent of my ability to actually play online with my Internet though.

NEXT Game? Community Gaming Event??
This just took a quick turn onto the fast lane.

Didn't we each already acquire the same game and had an ..okay.. time.
For those who got in on the team play.
Now we only need to train some more..on a larger map..in a passworded server-game.
Also to find a good time that fits everybody more or less..

Sure, we could do both things. I guess.
You can probably count me out for the time being though. My boss just asked if I wanted to fill in for the resident 'Vaktmästare'. Which you don't seem to have a word for.. exactly. Think gardener, but less specific and more general house/lawn - building/plot keeper.
I will do this for the next 3 weeks. Then I'm free again, to game away the nights in temporary bliss.

There was something else as well...
Oh, yes. I probably won't have any game that utilizes steam.. Or at least not that exact steam version...

I didn't think a lot of people liked Halo Online? I mean, we can do it again if people want to.

I mean, Halo is inferior to Unreal Tournament, but it's not a bad game. It just loses a lot of points in my book for being so overhyped. I'd gladly repeat what happened on Wednesday if it means everyone else is happy too.

I'm open to anything that isn't on the source engine (Long story short my internet is too awesome to handle it or some bullshit).

I'm particularly open if you guys want to teach me how to play Fortnite or Overwatch (As I have both but never played them).

No Fortnite because microtransactions, no control, and it's too big of a game anyway, map wise. Fuck Overwatch too because of the forced Battle.NET DRM and the same reasons as Fortnite, except it's worse because I actually have to pay for that crap whereas at least Fortnite doesn't have a pricetag while they're busy being wankers.

What's wrong with battle.net drm? I'm not ready to defend it or anything, but having only just installed it for Over watch, I'm wondering what ills I'm missing?

That's why. It's worse than redundant to Steam. Now, I love competition actually, but these publishers that make their own DRM platforms like Uplay and Origin can eat a dick because they don't care whatsoever about competing with Steam. All these damn DRM platforms benefit them and only them. I shouldn't have to launch up a separate DRM platform for every publisher FFS.

Preach it, sister!

Games should be stand-alone. Old Battle.NET (Classic) did it right.
There is nothing preventing one or more "digital distribution, social networking, content delivery, platforms" from adding games voluntarily (like XFire does..did?) and competing to have the most users.
Except that it all comes down to control via their primary objective; Digital "rights" (restrictions) Management.
DRM makes me so fucking mad..in all kind of ways..

It helps that I got the game for free. I was avoiding Blizzard games for a while because I didn't need another client installed. Having installed it now, I'm pretty OK with it. It doesn't need to be running as far as I can tell once the game is launched, and because they are only distributing like 5 games on it, it doesn't feel very bloated at all.

I do agree it's redundant, but I'm OK with a DRM that is redundant and separate from other DRMs. The whole Denovo thing where you get Denovo on TOP of Steam is retarded.

Well, you know, the sad thing is Overwatch does look at least legitimately fun and was competently made. But Activision just had to stick their big publisher dick in it and it's so worse off because of it. I want to buy Overwatch but I don't want to put up with Activision just to play it.
