Right now, we're all going through this fucking AI bubble, and it seems like the RAM price increase is making electronics prices so much worse. But hear me out, guys, and let me cook. This is a GOOD thing. In the end, I mean.
1. This AI bubble needs to END. And how is it going to end? When the costs outstrip profits for too long. Some RAM manufacturers may not be making RAM for consumers anymore, but I guaran-fucking-tee you it's not because the data centers are paying cheaper prices for said RAM. The data centers are paying out the ASS for this dedicated flow of RAM to them. Which means even more of a deficit that has to be paid back. Which is going to quicken this bubble popping. Further, these RAM manufacturers may have set-in-stone contracts for at least a year, but when the bubble pops, it doesn't stop said data centers from just dumping ALL that RAM onto the market in hopes of salvaging as much money as possible from this popped bubble. The only negative from this is that we may be using DDR5 for a while. lol
2. The United States in general is too addicted to its electronics. Ironically, this may force people to actually... You know... Go outside instead of buying more shit they don't need and doom-scrolling all the damn time. If consumers hold back enough on spending money on new electronics, it will also mean manufacturers will now have to compete more to earn money, which is absolutely needed. And this also may mean people may start re-using old machines.
3. These increasing prices will further aggravate the US people and get them to wake the fuck up some more. People in this country are not going to wake up unless some pain is applied. It's the only way, and we've tolerated this entire state of affairs for way too long.
