That's right, I've built yet more goblin decks. Why do I keep building them? well that's simple.
Goblins are great.
So yeah built two more decks and I'm combining them in one post because they're both pretty similar and it just felt right.
Anyway, Deck number one is based of my paper deck and I wanted to try rebuild it in arena but since arena's card-pool is limited I had to make a few changes, but ultimately it does the same thing and that is make lots of goblins. That's why I call it Goblin Gang
Goblin Gang
Deck List:
Creatures
2 Legion Warboss
2 Tin Street Cadet
3 Goblin Gang Leader
3 Goblin Instigator
3 Goblin Trashmaster
3 Muxus, Goblin Grandee
4 Krenko, Mob Boss
4 Raging Goblin
Instants
3 Lightning Strike
3 Shock
Sorcery's
2 Goblin Rally
3 Goblin Gathering
4 Dragon Fodder
Enchantments
2 Goblin Oriflamme
2 Raid Bombardment
Lands
20 Mountain
2 Radiant Fountain
Sideboard
3 Blazing Volley
4 Goblin Matron
Key Cards:
Krenko, Mob Boss
This guy is the core to this deck. He's going to be doing the bulk of the heavy lifting, and by lifting I mean producing mountains of tokens since he doubles your army every turn.
Goblin Trashmaster
Goblins are incredibly weak, so he buffs them. That's pretty much it.
Muxxus, Goblin Grandee
You like free cards? This guy brings out more of your goblin cards for nothing. He also becomes incredibly strong when he attacks if you have a large enough goblin horde.
So the basic premise of the deck is to build up a massive army of goblins so that you can basically just grind your opponent down. It's a war of attrition essentially. There's no grand strategy other than throwing goblins at your opponent. I'm willing to sacrifice three of my 1/1 Goblins to kill your 3/3 creature because I know I can easily replace them next turn, but you can't replace your creature without it costing you. And likewise i'm willing to throw a dozen weak goblins at you every turn because you won't be able to block them all and they're easily replaceable.
It's a great deck that does exactly what I wanted it to do. Produce Goblins.
That's really all there is to say about that one, so that brings us on to deck number two
Grumgully's Revenge
Deck List:
Creatures
2 Conspicuous Snoop
2 Grumgully, the Generous
3 Goblin Gang Leader
3 Goblin Instigator
3 Muxus, Goblin Grandee
4 Goblin Matron
4 Krenko, Mob Boss
4 Raging Goblin
Sorcery's
2 Goblin Rally
4 Dragon Fodder
Lands
20 Mountain
9 Forest
Sideboard
2 Goblin Oriflamme
3 Goblin Trashmaster
3 Legion Warboss
3 Lightning Strike
4 Shock
Key Cards
Grumgully, the Generous
The card this deck gets it's name from. Buffs your goblins, that's it.
You could swap it for Goblin Trashmaster and free up some more card slots since you won't be needing any green mountain, but that's why it's in the sideboard.
Conspicuous Snoop
Lets you cast cards from the top of your deck and gains the abilities of any goblin card on top of your deck
Muxxus, Goblin Grandee
Oh look, it't this guy again
So this deck originally started life as a goblin meta deck. BUT, due to arena's economy being absolutely abysmal and me getting sick of grinding for wildcards, I made a few changes. Mostly that i'm running two copies of Conspicuous Snoop when I should be running four to increase it's reliability, and the inclusion of Grumgully instead of Goblin Chieftain which would give everything haste and a buff. Grumgully still gives a buff, but it's not as good as Goblin Chieftain's, or even Goblin Trashmaster for that matter, but I've wanted to put it in a deck for ages and now it has a home.
The deck is similar in how it works to my Goblin Gang deck, just maybe more efficiently. You'd use Goblin Matron and Conspicuous Snoop to bring out Muxxus, who'd then bring out Krenko, Grumgully, and pretty much all your other goblins. Next turn you'd use Krenko to produce more goblins then swing for massive damage.
This version, while not great, still works pretty well and is pretty fun to play and that is the most important thing.
So there we have it two more goblin decks. I really do seem to like them, don't I?
I'm working on some more decks *cough* Minotaur's *cough* Elves *cough**cough* but due to arena's economy being shit it'll take awhile to grind out the wildcards I need, so who knows when they'll be ready.
