Nice!
You really like card games huh? ^^
Nope, they are a blight upon life.

Take this game for example. Its dreadfully slow. A turn takes near a minute to complete with both players taking the minimal actions (drawing/placing a resource). The way the game rules are set up makes it so only turn 4 and onwards play any significant role in you winning/losing as units start having significant abilities to clear the opponent's board and have the attack points necessary to deal real damage to them. This is mostly due to the fact that each payer can revive one "stunned" unit per turn. Unless the opponent has any KO effects you'll be reviving your strongest card each turn requiring the opponent to use their strongest card to stun it (well as long as you keep pace) allowing the weaker units to attack directly. Unit abilities start getting really broken by turn 6/7 and one can easily turn the game by summoning one. Wolverine, Berserker Rage for instance can attack again after stunning a 4 or lower unit. With 15 attack that'll do over half of the opponents life (50 total) if they were summoning a unit each turn. You can't have a fast win in this game. TL;DR use Cheat Engine's Speedhack x5.

The Developers themselves estimated the story mode has over 100 hours of gameplay to it. After completing story mode for both sides I had just under 100,000 points to spend on the store. There are a total or 13 different packs with each booster costing 100 points. I've opened 1000 boosters from a pack to half the time receive only 6 copies of a rare card. You can only have 4 of the same card in your deck. Lets be gracious and say I got unlucky and you could probably get 4 of each card with only opening 500 boosters, hell probably less with save file scumming. That would still require a player to play over 650 hours to even get near having a complete library of 4 stock. In that same link though the developers state the initial victory over the computer is easy and they provide them a stronger deck afterwards. Problem: computer opponents provide less points after the initial victory. So they made them harder to farm and provide less for the time. This would extend the 650 hours well over 1000. You'd of gone blind by then.

Unlike most other card games this one displays the total amount of cards in it upfront as 852. Lets cut that "obtain 4 of each card goal" from earlier and just try to get 1 of each. Second problem: there are only 849 cards in the packs (at least in retail v1.0). Unless you were diligently taking notes and conducting multiple tests you would not have known you were chasing an impossible dream.

Deck construction is really crippled from the beginning. After unlocking the 2nd card pack (villain side) I opened 1000 boosters of each and still had nowhere near a "competent" deck, just a slightly better starter deck. The one Plot Twist card containing a KO effect (extremely useful due to the revive phase as described earlier), Finishing Move, that is provided in the second pack is bugged for the player however the computer uses this card regularly against you with its intended effect. You'll have to face another ~20 enemies with this disadvantage in hope that the next pack contains a functional KO card. After noticing this I quit playing and just Cheated for everything.

v1.1 for this game was supposedly gonna be a free downloadable patch but I'm not even sure it exists outside of new prints for the physical game. Even the guys who archived the PSP DLC library don't have it. In result, I'm unsure if the additional 253 cards were ever released. Obligatory: Fuck on-disc DLC unlockers.

The only positive I could give this game are the story movies. Those are pretty rad.

I would never recommend a video game TCG to anyone outside of the oldies like Pokemon Trading Card Game as they are awful. I'm mostly doing these lists to see just how shit the games are. I've disliked all of them so far.

Hm... But why do you care if others monetize it?
Doing work others will profit from financially doesn't sit well with me. There are a bunch of old faqs on Gamefaqs with dedications to "Real Gamers", copyright infringing claims of no copy/pasterino my work and "Thanks Mom!". Now the name of a storefront is in the url. None of them were cut a check, thanked by the outlet or even acknowledge. There is no list of the usernames that had contributed there on some honorific plaque. Every single one of them let themselves be a tool.

Well..You seem pretty devoted to the mechanics of the games, despite hating them..
Love/hate?

Hopefully it will draw a little bit of a crowd. Especially if no other place has all the different TCG cards in one place.
